Re: Different DLR Experiences? Local APs, Occasional Day Trippers, and Out Of Towners

    There's technically a fourth category:

Local AP holders who go on frequent day or half-day trips who meet other local AP holders who go on frequent day or half-day trips.

Honestly, after meeting a group at DL for over 4 years, there's no way that an alone/family experience is the same. DL has a different light through a group, and it's a different take on the local experience.

APer who lives 2.4 miles away and who's wife works there too.
I can do a "drop in" or an "all dayer".
Or just catch the fireworks show.
My favorite is to have lunch with Billy Hill at the Golden Horseshoe.

Hell yes I'm spoiled, but I'm worth it!

Re: Different DLR Experiences? Local APs, Occasional Day Trippers, and Out Of Towners

i guess me and my husband are in some weird alternative catagory

we're AP holders who live in Reno, but go to disneyland about 5 times a year for 3-5 days at a time. we'd love to move back to so cal (we're both originally from Ventura County) but its so bloody expensive we're going to have to wait until we get some sort of inheritance!

the best thing about the frequent trips was mentioned above, we never feel like we have to rush about the resort tyring to get on all the "cool" rides or stuff ourselves at all the various places to eat. we can pick and choose as we please and if we miss something, oh well, there's always next time.....this last trip we went on the HM about 9 times in a row thanks to there being no lines and it was fantastic...we're geeky that way but we completely love switching off side in the doombuggies so that we can take turns sitting on the side the Bride is on
Will there be screams when the sun sets,
