Blue Bayou photos 8/28

Last weekend we (the wife and I) tried Blue Bayou's dinner selections. Yesterday, after trying the Storyteller's Cafe character breakfast (short story - the worst of the three we've tried so far), we did a late lunch at the Blue Bayou. I tried to use my camera to take some shots considering the low light at that venue, but first, the flash shots of the food:

The "wedge salad" seems to have changed a little bit since last week -- can we blame Sadako and Fishbulb for this?




I had the "Tesoro Island Chicken", and that, and the salmon I had last week, were excellent. A small slice of the also excellent prime rib my wife has every time is on the left also. Tender and delicious.



We got a waterside table without even asking for one, and without using flash (didn't want to blind the people in the boats going by), here are a few shots:





All in all, a great time - the service here definitely keeps improving. The food is great, the atmosphere romantic, and we had a good time!

Great Photos! I have always loved the Blue Bayou. I guess I am still disappointed that the prices went up so much. I truly will now only go there on special occassions. You got a WONDERFUL spot! The only time in ten years I got a water side table was on my birthday last year!

Yes, I agree with everything you said. Yay you! You got the salad fixed! Maybe I can order it in October when I go back. Dunno though, how was the flavor of the "new and improved" wedge salad? Is that dressing some sort of house or ranch dressing?

And yes, Mr. & Mrs. Froggy are a handsome/beautiful couple. Their tadpole is just as gorgeous.

This is such GREAT news Froggy, thank you so much for the report. My family and I ate Christmas dinner at the Bayou last year and were very pleased but when all the negative reports came out after the re-opening I was really disappointed. We are hoping to make it back to the park some time around New Years (cross my fingers) and will not be so hesitant to book a meal here again.

Also, LOVE the moon shot. It looked like such a romantic meal for such a good looking couple

We agree.

We had lunch there saturday (our third time since the re-furb) and it was all delicious. I tried the cajun salmon this time and it was Tiggerific!

(and I don't mind at all when my wife orders the prime rib...she shares it with me too) (prime rib and cajun salmon...Mmmm goood!)

btw: imho, that salad looks disgusting! i've had the wedge salad before and i think i liked the old version better!
