Yeah, that is weird. What the hell is Goofy?

Have you ever noticed that Goofy and Pluto look very much alike, in fact they are drawn almost as the same character. The ears, the knot on the top of the head, the way they laugh, the shape of the head the dots indicating whiskers on the cheeks: all earily similar.

Maybe they are really cousins, but Goofy is more evolved towards humanity like Mickey and Donald wearing clothes and using speech to communicate, either that or Pluto chooses to stay under the stereotype of a pet and a dog because it is more comfortable than challenging himself to better himself. Maybe perhaps Pluto sees himself as the more authentic character and believes in keeping it real while the other characters are merely posers as they demean their species acting as humans and he secretly despises them all...

Goofy is a dog. A big talking dog. Funny quote from the movie "Stand by me" not withstanding.
    Fromhttp://psc.disney.go.com/guestservices/8709.html
Q: What is Goofy? When did he debut?

A: Goofy is a dog! Good-natured but not that bright, this cartoon character made his first appearance, somewhat disguised, as a member of the audience in "Mickey's Revue" (1932).
Listen eoinoco, Everyone appricates how much you love Disney, that's why we are all here.
But you don't know everything about Disney. No one knows everything about Disney. And most people here know a much more than you or I.

I was once like you. Thinking that I knew everything.... yeah.

    But I do. so....

    Good luck to you.

I think Goofy is a COW! Didn't he date Clara Bell for a while in the old cartoons. He wasn't very defined then.

Re: enything u want to know about disney is here.

Goofy is not remotely a cow, despite the interspecies dating. First of all, he's male, so if he was a bovine, he'd have to be a bull. And if he was, he'd have horns.

He's clearly a Dog. If you've ever read Wicked, you could think of Goofy vs Pluto as Dog vs dog.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

I think that the republican marriage amendment strictly prohibits dog/cow love, so yes, he would have to be a cow.

I figured Walt (at any age) could just whack Michael over the head with a polo mallet. Did you know that Walt was an avid polo player? I'm sure eoinoco knew that.

If he were a cow, he'd have udders. And be transgendered.

I definitely think Goofy is a member of C.O.W. though!!!!

Re: enything u want to know about disney is here.

I'm still looking for somebody that knows everything that I never wanted to know about Disney....

    As for the Goofy question...

    What the %&$# is Goofy?

Goofy was born April 2nd, 1845 to a small Irish family of 132. His mother was a dachsund and his father was either a duck or a german shepherd. Nobody was ever sure which one. All that is really known about his parentage is that his mother married a hamburger and was later locked in the freezer of a McDonald's for severe insanity. Goofy's rise to stardom started in 1932 as a nominee in "Mickey Rooney's Red Carpet Oscar Preview, Starry Joan Rivers." Then known as Goof Dawggy Dawgg, he appeared as a rapper nominated for "Most Original Song Possible Despite 99% of the Song Being Sampled from Other Songs and Teddy Roosevelt's Snoring." Unfortunately, he lost to Judy Garland and Her Bling Bling Possee. But that didn't stop him. A young animator known as Walt Disney noticed his talent immediately and hired him to clean up the restrooms at the Disney Brothers studios. And the rest is Disney history...
