Disneyland seems to have a very limited time of full On Periods!

Christmas, Thanksgiving, Spring Break, Summer. Compensation 35%-45% of the year. Doesn't it seem that there needs to be more weeks where Disneyland should be really bustling?

It bustles quite enough. It's nice when there are slower times when the Park is not crowded and those times seem to be rarer and rarer.

Less crowds= Less Rides Open= Less Shows Open= Less Hours!

DL has four seasons: Christmas, Summer, DCA BOGO, and "all others"

The park just spent 16 months going through hades, it deserves some down time.

Anyway the park needs those slower months to catch up on maintenence and such.

That's what you have to keep in mind: Disneyland -used- to be closed one or two days a week, for maintenance. I'm sure the downtimes were shorter and less frequent, especially when it was two days a week. The trade off we get for 365 days of Disneyland are intentional slow periods (periods without as much marketing, shorter hours, more closed rides/shops/shows/restaurants) to balance out all the times everything has to be 'up'.

That's fine by me, I could go to Disneyland with every single attraction closed and still have a lovely day, just escaping the madhouse of modern life and relaxing in the various environments the park offers.
