Haunted House probably irritates me the most (it's mansion sized people! It's not a ranch!), but it is very close to people calling Sleeping Beauty Castle Cinderella Castle. That irks me. And then of course there's always Fantasia for Fantasmic.

    hahaha, that's pretty funny.

I have heard Buzz Lightyear(I don't know if it's posessive ;-) 's Astro Blasters referred to as the "AstroGliders"...oops, that is just what I call it from time to time

ETA...Come to think of it...usually it's the "Astro ORBITers" that gets that name. But yah.

Everything you said gets to me too also when people call DCA California land, but worst one is when people start saying Pirates(movie) came first then the ride

I'm in awe that people have actually said those things in place of the ride's actual name. I think the only thing I've ever gotten in an argument over is wether the mtn. at DCA was of a bear or of a wolf. Never will I let my cousin live down that he thought it was a wolf.

I'm guilty of calling it Autotopia, but I've stopped now.

Oh, I am soooooooo sick of people treating Disneyland like JackSparrowLand!

Jack this, Jack that! Yes, it is cool. But guess what, the ride came first! No there isn't a Will Turner or an Elizabeth Swann! People using a camera flash while on the ride. People talking non stop during the ride. Seriously, can I please request my own boat? I'll pay, I'll wait... Or at least have a nerds hour for the ride :P

I've heard alot of incorrect terms, but it doesn't bother me. People are there to have fun...not memorize everything...so they get a name or two wrong, it doesn't altee their experience of the ride.

It just makes sense in the head to call it that.

I spotted that when I went. Those carnival funhouse ride things are scary without being spooky-themed!

A couple walking out of DCA came up to me and asked me "How do you get to Tinkerbell's House?" It took me a few seconds to figure out that they meant the castle, but it was okay because I could tell they had never been to Disneyland and were just visiting from Austrailia.

Re: Weirdest/Most Annoying Name Used for an Attraction by the Unknown

My family is very guilty of the Autotopia mistake. No matter how many times I say it, it always comes out wrong. My mom always gets Fantasmic wrong too. Things like attraction names don't bother me...my big irk is when people call characters the wrong names but that's another thread.

I think as long as they have the jist of the ride in the name then it's okay.

I Admit it, sometimes I like to say Jungle Boat, Haunted House, Thunder Train, and Autotopia.

Why? Sometimes at Disneyland Im just a silly silly goose.
