DCA's new show: Golden Screams?

From this site comes the following information:

...The Golden Dreams theater will close for five days from September 24 to 28 to install an overlay apparently being called "Golden Screams." We're unsure at this point what this will involve, though the greeting of Disney characters in Halloween costumes nearby seems to be part of it and the theater will show Halloween-themed movie clips from old shorts and Disney movies. A symmetrical closure after Halloween, to remove the overlay, has not yet shown up on the schedule.

That certainly does sound like it has some possibilities. To bad I'm not going until December and won't get to see whatever it is. But wait.... um... maybe after the Halloween theme they will do something Christmas related!!

This is the seed of a brilliant idea.

Villains are HUGE right now.

Horror/spooky stuff is HUGE right now.

Change it -permanently- to 'Golden Screams'. Remodel the theater to be dark and creepy. Have it start with a short film about Disney's villains and the history of horror and scary stuff in Disney films (everything from the silly stuff to Davy Jones). Then, the screen rises/parts/whatever and the place is raided by villains, in the flesh! A short meet & greet/photo op follows, giving someone a place where everyone can catch their favorite baddies, much like the princess thing in the WonderBra theater will provide for the princesses.

I'm telling you, limit that to a show an hour, and you'll have the thing packed -every single show-, with plenty of 'upsale' opportunities at the gift shop for Disney-taken photos, autograph books, frames, etc.

It sounds like a Villians lair at MK where it is basically a large room with a bunch of villians to meet and greet. I wouldn't expect too much more than that.

No, no, no...it's very difficult to scream while projectile vomiting. Besides, as several brilliant horror directors have said, there is a difference between being repulsed and being frightened: repulsion is cheap and easy, fright is difficult. This would -definitely- be the latter.
