Sad Anyone here ever had a good cry in Disneyland? Shed a tear?

Just curious if anyone here has shed a tear or had a good emotional cry while in Disneyland.

I have yet to cry or shed a tear while in Disneyland since I've only been once... but just curious if Mice Chatters have wept with Mickey.

First time I cried, uh......I think was when i rode Space mtn after it first opened, cause it's a long story but I was VERY HAPPY to be at DL

last time was Aug 13th, my last day at DL for a while. Cried in front of the castle and then sat at the Micechat bench and cried some more.

Yep during Believe...Theres Magic in the Stars, during the snow after Believe...In Holiday Magic, and when Walts speech plays over the park and Tink is flying during Remember.

Re: Anyone here ever had a good cry in Disneyland? Shed a tear?

The last year we went to Disneyland in 2004 (and every Christmas we went 3 times before that) my mom always cries when her three kids (including me ) watch the fireworks then play in the snow. She said it makes her the happiest.

I on the other hand, get overwhelmed with excitement when I enter the park and get teary-eyed. Then at the Christmas firework show I tear up when they play "I'll be home for Christmas" makes me remember my grandma (who passed away) and also makes me think of all the soldiers who are overseas or away from their families.

In the Happiest Place on Earth? I thought that was impossible!

Can't say I have, as I was in a strange, deluded "I can do anything" state last year when I was there. But tears are a funny thing, you never know when they'll strike...even in the Happiest Place on Earth.

    Each time, I usually cry:
    • walking through the archway into main street
    • seeing the castle at the end of the street
    • hearing the main st music
    • during the tiki room
    • during it's a small world
    • during the fireworks
    • during the [main street] Electrical Parade (which I saw in DCA)
    • During Peter Pan's flight
    • The first time I saw Snow White's grotto
    • In the Walt Disney Story before Mr Lincoln
    • Eating at the Blue Bayou
Also, plenty of times in Tokyo DL too.

Red Face Re: Anyone here ever had a good cry in Disneyland? Shed a tear?

Oh my yes. I mean I'm sure I shed many a tear when I was a little girl - but even as a big kid (aka adult) I have shed many a tear @ DL.
Some with the beauty or the magic of something (Believe...Holiday Believe and Remember Fireworks...many tears there. Watching a little child experance something special. Hearing Walt's Welcoming Speach on the 17th Walking down Main Street and being Welcomed Home by CM's on Main Street ect ect.)
Some in mourning (riding Small World for the first time after my Grandmother died)
or in realization (after I spent the whole day helping one of my best friends do a huge day that resulted in him asking one of my other good friends to marry him I went to Snow White's Ghrotto and sat in a dark corner and just sobbed because I realized then that I had - despite fighting it and denying it for years, fallen in love with him and I had just helped him tie himself to another woman forever)
Some of my most meaningful tears happen at DL - I think because I feel free to be myself there and I don't care about what people think or don't think. It is a place full of memories good and bad for me and I am a very emotional person. But my grandpa told me when I was a little girl that when you cry at DL they turn into wishes that will someday come true.

Teary eyed, choked up - lots of times.
    • Seeing and hearing the music of the Electrical Parade for the first time (and many times after) since it "left forever"
    • Snow on Main Street
    • The Christmas tree
    • Santa in the parade
    • Seeing Mickey take a small child's hand
    • Seeing the Mark Twain all lit up and running (and blowing the whistle) when Fantastic is dark
    • Watching a mom duck walk her babies across the hub
    • Walt's speech

    But actually sobbing - no.

I, too, got a little choked up ("verklempt," is it?) and "something was in my eye" the first (and maybe the second, and perhaps also the third) time I experienced the Remember... fireworks extravaganza... Especially during the Main St. Electrical Parade, for some reason...
