What's at the bottom of Rivers of America?

I would think just maybe if say a toaster or a hungry bear chair fell in the Rivers of America, per chance they were to get stuck on the tracks?

Would it not present some problems for the Mark Twain or Columbia?...

Dare I say that there are some guests that I'd like to throw in there as well? There are some dang rude ones -you know? They shove and they like ride your rear in line...practically breathe down your neck. I have had to ask people to 'back up please' several times. Also, some of the language can be really crude and I have said, "Hey, do you mind?"

Am I wrong to do that?

I recall in the old days...they were always finding dentures in the Sub Lagoon. Guess some of the old gawking geezers riding the Skyway or Monorail couldn't keep their mouth shut!

There was an old "Disney News" magazine article (in the 70's I think) on the SCUBA divers that work at Disneyland, and it had a whole list of crazy things folks lost or tossed into the various waterways of Disneyland.

I saw a boot out there in an empty "Riverbed of America".

But get this! They drained the water where the Subs are in early 1979 for one reason or another. So, with my Dad, I peeked in and we saw a toilet in there! I kid you not. It was a toilet! White and porcelain! Lid was UP! You can imagine how funny an 7 or 8 year old kid found THAT!

Ok, now back to Rivers of America.

Wonder where it was. The Subs water wasn't heavily tinted so that you
can see out the portholes of the ride. So unless it was "hidden", you
could actually see out the subs or from the shore.

But I doubt that it was put in there by a guest (Honey, this toilet doesn't
actually fit in your purse!). On the other hand, I can't really explain the toaster either!

I assume that columbia and mark twain run on the same track. So, when they put away columbia, is there a switching mechanism somewhere, like a train uses? Where is it located?

Actually, I'm not sure they're on the same track, but I think so.

Anyway, in that case there are at least two switches: one to bring the
Mark Twain to it's loading area ann the Columbia to it's loading area.
There probably another set to take the Columbia to it's "mooring" area
and another to off-load both to a service area.

There's probably a former (or current) MarkTwain/Columbia CM who
can tell us for sure thought. "-)
