I'm sure that this is not news to many of you, but as I was recently re-reading "Walt Disney: An American Original" I was struck by the following passage in regard to the construction of Disneyland:
My, how times have changed. Am I the only one who thinks that this passage should be posted in giant flashing letters in the TDA building?Members of the park staff urged him to build an administration building. "No, " Walt replied, "there isn't going to be any administration building. The public isn't coming here to see an administration building. Besides, I don't want you guys sitting behind desks. I want you out in the park, watching what people are doing and finding out how you can make the place more enjoyable for them."
