    Question Question About ap holders

So my boyfriend & I are planning to go to DL Dec. 31 for new years, problem is we are blocked out. Question is do we have to pay full price to get in the park or will it be $30?

It's definitely $30. Even on the busiest day that's what you pay!

    YUP!

Also, you might want to bring some sort of a 'harness' that harnesses you both together because it's a MAD HOUSE that night. I went in 2001 - and My then fiancee was standing with our friends on Main Street outside Coca Cola Corner and she was freaking out because we didn't think we'd meet up again - and that's like NOT FAR at all. I did manage to make my way back, but if you have ever seen a flood of humans, it's here on that particular night!

I don't think we'll ever go again on New Years.

I saw on a chart FrogBerto posted before that New Years and Christmas are the busiest times at Disneyland.

Yes, the $30 is for a "parkhopper" black out ticket. Good for both parks (and as a tip you didn't hear from me, both your pass and your blackout ticket work in fastpass machines, doubling the amount of fastpasses you can get...)

    I didn't know that! Awesome!

You know what? My wife and I went to Disneyland Hotel for our Wedding Night (wink wink). Anyway, we went to the park the day after and some group of people handed us 12 Fastpasses to Space Mountain! HELLO?

    What a nice wedding gift!

They are supposed to scan and activate both your annual pass, and your blackout day ticket. To make the most of your day, make sure they scan both...

....and another thing. You can use that $30 towards an AP upgrade. I went on a blockout day and used that $30 to upgrade from SoCal Select to the regular SoCal AP. Just go to the Bank on Main Street sometime during that day.

And since I'm almost positive that the powers-that-be read these boards, this little extra will soon no longer be and they will find a way to stop it. Which is why secrets like this should remain so.
