    Thanks for the review!!

I don't know what's up with the New Orleans Square chefs and the spread out / wedge salads. It still looks like "lazy presentation" to me.

Re: Cafe Orleans - dinner review

I just had my first dinner at the new Cafe Orleans on Saturday.... I was NOT impressed.

The seafood crepe which I had so looked forward to was tuna. TUNA! I'm sorry, but tuna helper wrapped in a tortilla does not equal seafood crepe. Disgusting.

Oh, and they charged my credit card TWICE for the meal.

I don't mind the wedge approach as long as the dressing works with it. I had the shrimp salad last time, and it was basically a hunk of lettuce that I had to cut, but since it was with a vinaigrette, the dressing was spread out well. I didn't have the salad at Blue Bayou, but others did, and again, since it's a vinaigrette, it's not really a problem. But with something creamier, like a caesar or ranch or blue cheese or thousand island, the dressing tends to clump more so is harder to avoid the blob.

And the whole pommes frites thing puzzles me. I mean, they're french fries. They're good, but yeah, they're french fries.

mmm...it all looks very good! thanx for sharing! last time i was there i had the shrimp salad and it was a head of lettuce with 2 skewers in it and the shrimp stuck on the skewers. i have to admit, though, that it was sort of an artistic presentation.
    I'd rather be at Disneyland

I had that the first time I was there after it re-opened. I didn't mind the wedge at all because the dressing was more fluid, and I really liked the salad.

    Here's a picture.
