What do you love most about staying at the Disneyland Hotel?

I am going there in a few weeks with my friends and I can't wait!


I love the feeling I get when I first pull up in front of the hotel and walk through the lobby! I love finding out where my room is and seeing what kind of view I have! My favorite is in the Sierra Tower looking into DTD , especially when I open the window at night and can hear all the music! I love getting up first thing in the morning and grabbing a latte downstairs and then going for a swim in the pool! And I love lounging by the pool later in the day and having a few drinks from the Lost Bar. It's also fun to just walk around the grounds and take in all the sights and sounds!

I love that I can stay at the parks until closing and not have to worry about driving home 25 miles when I'd rather be lying down listening to the hustle and bustle of what is still going on at Downtown Disney. I love the idea of being able to race over and take a nap and go clean up and go to dinner and then go back into the park.

I know 35 isn't old, but I certainly don't have the energy longevity that i did when I was 19 or 20. So, being able to take a 2 hour nap and then have more energy to go racing until midnight is fun!

Staying at any of the Hotels is almost like Heaven!

I'm pretty sure they have them at all three hotels. But when you pick up it's Mickey telling you good morning and to enjoy your day.

The little soap bottles etc that say DL Hotel, the do not disturb sign that is DL hotel specific. I used to love that they place a Disney Magazine in
each hotel room, but unfortunately the Disney Magazine is no longer being printed.

I know they have it at GCH. The kids loved it when we stayed there a while ago. They would get all excited when I told them that there was a phone call for them.

Don't forget the autographed pics of Mickey and Minnie and the balloons upon check-in. The kids can hardly wait for those. They say that those goodies are the start of a magical trip!

When we are there for a B-Day (which is most of the time), the pic is signed "Happy Birthday" as well.

The top floor of the Bonita Tower - - with it's high ceilings and the ONLY BALCONIES at the Disneyland Hotel, offering views of the hotel "Marina" (I still call it that) and Disneyland, including fantastic fireworks viewing ... oh, and the lovely, lulling, beautific sounds of the waterfalls directly down below. Marvelous, simply marvelous!

I love the fact I have never been there, and I am the friend you are taking wooooo hoooooo this is going to be fun!! ( oh good, I will have you get our LAtte while I am still in bed, or we shall order room service

Its the first hotel for Disneyland and Walt has Walked in it before.

bleh... nothing now, except the somewhat existent waterfall grotto, everything else sucks very bad.... in my opinion.

I have searched that whole place from top to bottom looking for any sign of magic... didn't find any there at all.

this list may help DLH get back on track:

1-monorail cafe.
2-marina.
3-racecars.
4-underwater Antari arcade.
5-laser sculpture.
6-garden of fountains.
7-Fantasy Waters or Dancing Waters.
8-the big red sign.

I know they are trying to stay up with the times of today, but they suck at it, not the Disney company, but the Hotel managment.... they screwed up the place in my opinion.
