No lining up early on May 5th.

Just a last minute word of warning. They will not allow you to line up early at Disneyland. By early I mean before 7am. I talked to security today and was told anyone lining up at the turnstiles before 7 will be escorted out of the esplande and made to wait at the security check tent. So if you go early stop at the security check tents and wait for clearance from a cast member.

Just an epologue to my previous post. While they didn't let you line up early at the turnstiles, I was mad they didn't let you line up in the parking garage. I was there at 6am and a security car blocked the enterance telling everyone to return at 7am. Everyone had to u-turn and go elsewhere. Bad planning. When I returned at 6:45 am the traffic was backed up on the street all the way to Ball road! They should have opened the garage at 6:30 to prevent this from happening but then this is the normal way things get done at the resort,no planning.

The problem with opening the parking garage early is that it cascades....

If you open the garage, you have to start running the trams, or people will say you didn't plan.

If you start running trams, then you have to open security, or lines will be too long and you'll be accused of not planning ahead.

If you open security, then you have to open Main Street, or lines will be too long and you didn't plan.

If you open Main Street, then you have to open the shops.

Then, if word gets out you're doing all of this, people will still show up earlier than whatever you said the opening time was.... wanting to be first in line... Next thing you know, you may as well be open 24 hours. Then, people will complain that the only way to get in would be to not sleep for 36 hours....

I do think they need to do SOMETHING for the real 50th on the 17th of July. There will be fist fights if there are already enough people to fill park waiting at security before the garage even opens.
