    Castle dismantling starting next week?

I have been waiting in eagerness as to when the castle's decorations will come down and the tarps to paint it will go up. Is this most likely to start next week?

It better not be before the 30th or I'm gonna be pissed!

ORWEN: (Gasp!) For a minute, I thought the title of this topic was implying they'd be tearing down my precious Aurora's house!!! But, now, I see it's only about taking down those god-awful decorations. Thank goodness!

ORDDU: In Florida, they have already managed to remove all the decorations from the castle there--and in only about a 3 week period, from what a witch could best tell. They did it in a way that didn't intrude on the guest's enjoyment of the park, too!! There was a large crane behind Cinderella's Castle at the time, but it was lowered during the day and only erected again at night--when the real work began. By now the decorations in Florida are completely gone--as if by magic. So, it should be equally easy for California to dispose of the decorations on Sleeping Beauty's home in the same amount of time.

Will we lose the fireworks while the castle gets a makeover?

i'd assume they would wait until they're done with Remember to tarp up the castle if it takes any lengthy covering.

just thought I would bring this up>

I am not a lawyer, nor am I a member of the legal dept. for Disney,
but.... maybe this thread should be retitled???

It might give people (like it did me) the wrong impression and worry them, like they might think that the castle is being torn down.

titling the thread "50th celebration decorations coming down off of the castle"
would eliminate the confusion and prevent a panic.

as cap'n jack sparrow would say "savvy?"

I totally agree, I thought this meant they were tearing the castle down! That would be very boo worthy...

For what it's worth, just thought I'd mention that I had no problem with the thread's title, and knew exactly what it meant.

I also had no problem with the title... or course I was in the correct context when I read it.

Back to the topic: I believe they are waiting til after Nov 4th to repaint, ect.

I originally didn't like the decorations, now I feel as if I will miss them when the last one comes down. (The crowns are what made it aweful in my mind, and they are already gone. that leaves the castle looking elegant.)

Does anyone know when the castle is due to be back up and ready to go? Sometime in November?

To live would be an awfully big adventure.

The castle isn't under tarps, but the golden banners are gone as well as the crowns. It's kinda funny to see "Remember... Dreams Come True" during the Shooting Gallery portion, because the portions of the castle that light up as the targets being hit are the locations of the crowns.

OK then, I actually had no problem understanding what the thread was about. I just didn't want the new guy to feel out of place.

Thats what I get for trying to be supportive...
