    HOLY CRAP LOIS!

If this does happen, Disney would have pulled one over Al, Jim, Kevin, and ALL of us! I can't wait!

its not the lighting thats different I think its an entirely different special effects set. So for example during the day you may fly by comets and then if you ride it at night you flyby a Supernova or something.

    DCA Press Conference today?

I know there was supposed to be a big press conference (okay, not as big as yesterday) at DCA today where they announce some new rides. Anyone know what time that is? Just wondering when I should start refreshing like crazy.

i thought that in an earlier column someone said that it was suppose to be at 8... and they would announce the Monsters Inc. ride name and such... and there was something about how it is a REALLY long or rediculas title...

They announced it at mouseplanet. http://www.mouseplanet.com/more/mm050504as.htm
Monsters, Inc.: Mike And Sully To The Rescue is the name of the ride!

Al was right, not a fan of that new name! Mosters, Inc is good enough for me.

Currently, every time you ride ToT, the ride is the same. Eventually, the ride will be reprogrammed so that the drops change each time. You'll get a different experience every time.

What they do is change the drop pattern so that you will go up and down more or less times.

What about rumors that there will be additional/changed show scenes? I haven't heard about that in a while, so maybe that was just a pipe dream?

    ToT reprogram

I was sort of hoping this would mean that they would add the moving elevator scenario like the Florida version...In the Florida version the car moves to the top floor and moves independently onto a new drop shaft. I believe it was designed to improve the ability to load and unload quickly and made a creepy addition to the ride. The buildings look so similar I always hoped we would get that aspect.

Technically you do it in the begining... from entrance to exit the elevator moves like that.... Just stays in one drop shaft....
