Disneyland Pictures - 1973

While searching around for my old Disneyland photos, Victoria and I came across some of her photos from a trip in 1973. I thought you'd enjoy them:

The Teacups in "old" Fantasyland

Note that most of the cups have no decoration.

The Skyway through The Matterhorn

More Teacups

Thank you! I don't know if we'll make it to the park July 17th or not. I'd like to, though. As it gets closer I'll know better. Oh....the crowds!

Daaaaayyyummm.....

Those are like mirrors of my first memories of that place. I must get my aunt to scan all the pics she took of my first visit there. Must have been '74 or '75.

Many MANY thanks for sharing those Tom. If you come across any more, please put em up!

The hair...
The clothes...
It must be 1973!

Thanks Tom. I love pics of the old Fantasyland. Even though I think the new Fantasyland is prettier, there's just something really "Disney" about the old one!

I agree about it being more Disney... it's so colorful! It looks like someone took the Sleeping Beauty tapestry theme and applied it to the whole land. It really looks like Toon Town was SUPPOSED to feel like. The European half of FL is based on real things, but this is pure three-dimensional Fantasy. The keyword really is Lush.

And of course, seeing my beloved Submarine Voyage sign in that third picture just fills me with bittersweet joy.
