Re: Star Wars Timelines OUT THE WINDOW!

Normally I would go off on a subject like this but it really doesn't bother me. All I know is that my son is now a bonafide padawan. He even has the diploma to prove it......

Actually, according to canon Darth Maul did survive.

Here's the front page of the Star Wars comic which explains how Darth Maul survived and why Uncle Owen didn't want anything to do with Obi Wan.

Wait, which mall did this happen at? If it was the Beverly Center - completely understandable & regrettable. Rave on Ray Park & RIP Darth Maul !

Re: Star Wars Timelines OUT THE WINDOW!

Since we're showing off our dorkiness...

At the end of 'Revenge of the Sith' the Death Star looked pretty close to the Death Star at the end of 'Jedi'. The 'Jedi' Death Star was functional. The 'Sith' Death Star, according to the timeline, wouldn't be operational until it takes out Alderaan. So, between the time Luke is an infant until he's like 16 or so, the Death Star isn't functional. It seems like a long time. If the Empire could build a new Death Star in several years after the first one was blown up, then how come the first one took so long to be functional...?

Official Star Wars comics are canon. Every storyline has to be run by Lucas' team. They get explicit instructions whom they can kill off and whom they can't.

meh... George Lucas ruined and butcherd the Starwars continuity allready , so i figure that Disney can do whatever they want with it... i think the Jedi Traning Academy is awesome , i wish they had it when i was 10 years old..

Ok, now that we're all showing off our dorkiness. :-)

    That's easy!

The Empire started building the 2nd (and the "rumored" 3rd one; depending on what you
think of the "Canon") soon after starting construction on the first one.

However, due to technical glitches, only the structure of the first one was finished quickly primarly to do with the power supply. (small black hole-singularity).
Once the glitches were overcome (albeit 17(16?) years later), the 2nd could be made operational relatively quickly.

There also was a protoype as well.

Well, he did live on a desert planet in a cave as a hermit for over a decade. I'm not sure what the Jedi rule of thumb is on self-maintenance, but I'm guessing he didn't have a whole lot of access to the Federation's line of skin-care products.
