What kind of fritters? And softballs aren't that big if you're talking apple fritters....that would be on the small side.

Where would I find these fritters?

No fruit, they were just plain sugared fritters. When they were made well they were great. However, sometimes the fat they were fried in was not hot enough and they were really greasy and nasty. But, when they were right, yes, they were better than the ones now.

In New Orleans Square - over in the little window at the French Market and then in the little window beneath Disney Gallery by Pirates of the Caribbean.

They are still tasty, but they used to be way bigger and just one instead of three.

Yeah, my friend Becky and I would go and she'd tear hers apart and say the insides looked like chicken skin - but that didn't keep her from eating it.

The big ones are SO good. They are quite addicting. I love them. Sometimes my mom makes them at home for me.

    Lore said it all.
I was told, that the chief cook owned the large scoop to make the large fritters; and when he left, he took it with him. Sounds like BS to me...there was only ONE scoop? How was it his personal property? A firm as large as Disney can't find large scoops? I'm not buying it.
I miss the old 'cannonball' fritters...and the original mint julips.
