The 'Disney Insider Yearbook' Will Not Be Back

I received this e-mail tonight from Disney Online:

Quote:
Dear Yearbook Purchaser,

We'd like to inform you that your 2005 Disney Insider Yearbook, featuring Disneyland's 50th Anniversary Celebration, will be the only edition of the Yearbook produced. Because of its limited production, the Yearbook is truly a Disney collector's treasure. For those who signed up for the annual Yearbook subscription, there will be no further charges to your credit card, as the 2005 edition will be the only edition produced.

Until October 20, the 2005 Disney Insider Yearbook will be available for purchase at:

disney.go.com/inside/yearbook

This will be your last opportunity to purchase any additional copies. It makes a great holiday gift for friends and family!

For questions regarding your order, please do not hesitate to
contact us.

Thank you!

Your friends at the Disney Insider Yearbook
It appears the Yearbook was a bust. I can only assume sales were underwhelming.

So grab your extra copies while you still can. They're bound to be collectors items.

Re: The 'Disney Insider Yearbook' Will Not Be Back

I sprung for the $49.95 hardbound book with the DVD. I thought it was a bit overpriced for what you got. Still, I enjoyed it. You might want to try the $24.95 softcover instead.

I'm surprised they're not reducing the price to unload them. Maybe if the remaining stock continues not to move, they will.

Hmm.. that makes sense why they were posting it ALL OVER the Cast information locations to get CMs to buy it - they need to get those suckers purchased!!

Re: The 'Disney Insider Yearbook' Will Not Be Back

They may have had more sales if they'd opened it up to the international market. I'd have gladly forked over the cash, but sadly, it was not available outside the US/Canada.

Was there anything on the DVD that was worth an extra $25? Any cool park stuff?

No more DL yearbooks ?

Got an email that said they decided not to produce any more
yearbooks. This year would be the only year and you can
still order some. I guess the demand was too low ?

I saw it for sale in DCA. I figured that there must not have been a huge demand in pre-orders.

Yeah, I saw it in the Disney Gallery at DL last weekend. I thought pretty much the same.
