When did Peter Pan have its "down hill swoosh" slowed down?

This came up in another thread:

Well, sometime between July 2000 and June 2004 Peter Pan had the "down hill swoosh" effect slowed down.

All I know is that I went on it once in June '04 and again this past January '05 and both times the two down hill parts you go about half way and it slows you down for the rest. No more short "swoosh" effect. My sister and I both felt that the ride experience had been greatly dampened.

Was it in a particular rehab that this was done? And does anyone know the reason?

    Thanks.

The thread (for which I asked the question) was about POTC, not Peter Pan. You should change the thread title.

    Gracias

But I was talking about Peter Pan in the POTC thread, which is why I made a new thread.

    I think I confused you.

POTC hasn't changed, as far as I know.

Except the post in question in the POTC thread was in fact about the swoosh effect on Peter Pan, not POTC (Peter Pan came up out of the jokey sub-conversation about "Rock It" editions of other rides like POTC and Peter Pan)

    Err

Yeah, sorry about the confusion. I can see how it happened. I made a clarification in the other thread, too.

I think it depends on how much weight is in the boat. (PPan) Maybe the jolt at the bottom of the dip is the rest of the ride catching up. It does it with me as far back as I remember.
