    Holiday Snaps, April 1987

I'm starting to upload many of my Disneyland Photos from 1987, so I thought I'd share the slow process with you.

There is only about 7 up there at the moment, but more are to come, including the Fantasy Circus Parade!

    Enjoy!

Weren't the 80's great?!?!?! I dressed up almost exactly how you're dressed in those pictures for Halloween last year. I found the corduroy OP shorts from ebay and everything!

    Great pics!!
I've been trying to track mine down from my parents for years but when they divorced the pictures got lost.

Yes, I should have put a warning on the top about the outfit, but I figured that the 1987 would warn people of impending doom

Wouldn't be caught dead in them now...or would I?

    If the price was right...

I loved the way the gates looked back then. The banners and calliope pipes, along with the cogs, gears, and pulleys, would make such a fanciful first impression.

The clockworks were part of an attendance clock that was used as the Gift Giver Extraordinaire for the 30th Anniversary. Even though it was Disneyland's birthday, all the guests received the gifts, and, if I'm not mistaken, the bigger prizes were awarded based on a multiple of 30. Most of the gifts happened to be soft drinks and boxes of popcorn.

Yes, the entrance looked awesome then. I wish they'd pour a little life into it now. It doesn't even have music and narration emanating from it anymore

As far as short shorts - I think the men in particular looked GREAT back then as opposed to now. I'm so sick of teenage boys with their underwear sticking out because their pants are down to their knees. I can't wait for the day when we look back at pics of people in the 2000's and laugh at how stupid that trend was.

Those are awesome. I wonder if my mom can find ours. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice photos! The entrance is really neat, my first trip was in 1988, I wish I could find my photos from then!

I won a ticket! It was very cool, and I gave it to my friends, who had paid for my ticket that day. I still have the "I'm a Winner" pin somewhere...
