I was at WDW MK new years eve 1998-99 & I never saw so many people on Main Street! Very crowded doesn't begin to describe it. But it was fun!

    Re: New Year's Eve

It's fun if you want to stake out a spot, grab chairs and a table or a bench (and hold on to it for dear life) and enjoy the company of friends.

Of course, if the best NYE hang-out spot in the park is no longer there (See Photo to Left) that puts a big wrinkle in that plan.

It's NOT fun if you think you'll get in lots of rides - whenever they pack 80K Plus People in the park there will be lines everywhere. Long lines for rides and attractions - and the FastPasses will go very early. Long lines for food. Long lines for restrooms. Long lines for lines...

There are ways around some of the lines if you are a Ninja-level Disneyphile, but you'll end up at the eateries that nobody goes to (some for good reason), and take a long hike to the less crowded restrooms that day-trippers don't know are there...

This will be my third New Years Eve in the Park....God Willing.

If it rains, as it has the last two times, that will thin the crowds somewhat....but not much.

I like that, and isn't it the truth. I think I'll pass on the new years thing. It probably is fun, but not mine.
Stalking is when two people go for a long romantic walk together but only one of them knows about it.

    Re: New Year's Eve

last year when i went, the lines were not that bad because it was raining for most of the day and people did not wanna come. By 8:30 it started to clear up and they were able to do the fireworks
