They can always just make another Disneyland, but the rides will be based on live action non-Disney films. Harry Potter (Lord of the Rings too and WILLOW!) can be Fantasyland. Star Wars can be tomorrowland. Indiana Jones can be adventureland.

HP is a fantastic Intellectual Property that would work wonders for some corners of Disneyland. It would be best for such an attraction to be on a grand scale and limited to its area (IE Indiana Jones, a PARAMOUNT property).

Hehe, imagine a Harry Potter attraction at Six Flags (owned by time warner) and how piss poor it would be executed. If only every theme park tried as hard as Disney (even when disney is bad), it would be great for everyone.

I think it would be awesome to see the world of harry potter come to life, but yah... definitely doesn't belong in Disneyland. They can do soemthing in Florida for sure. And throw Narnia into the mix too.

Oh don't get me wrong, Disney would do a fantastic job with it. I just don't think it would "fit" in DisneyLAND for it to be done the proper justice. Florida is where they can really do something awesome.

And in defense of Tarzan, that was a Disney movie too.

I didnt read this whole thread, some people think DAK's Beastie Kingdom and/or the studio park may be a good place for Lord of the Rings and/or Harry Potter. Others suggested maybe a simple meet-n-greet or mini-show in the parks that can't possibly build a new ride building for HP. Like Mad Hatter said, Merlin VS HP would be interesting. Or redoing some show scenes in the Great Movie Ride.

Harry Potter can easily be transformed into an amazing theme park on its own. There's no way a ride could be added to anything in any of the Disney parks. Now get some Disney Imagineers to design this with a good budget and there's no limit to how great this park could be.
The whole series of books, so far, has set up a new world of possiblities in terms of theme park ideas. I'd love to be part of that. (If it's done right)

I have never read a Harry Potter book, but I have seen some of the movies with my kids. The best way to incorporate Harry's world into DL/DCA would be to create an entire land. I would say that they could build a new park on an alternate piece of property or they could rip out ToonTown and replace it with Hogwarts (or whatever the school is named). They could have a dark ride, a quidditch coaster, maybe some sort of walk through, maybe a hedge maze or something. It could be a fun new land at the resort. It just doesn't seem like a single ride would fit in very well.
