What are your favorite "little" details about Disneyland???

The fruit that you can eat on the trees along Main Street

Add to all of the above, arriving at the ticket booths at park opening, hearing the clang of the approaching train with its whiste, and the taped spiel finishing with b-o-o--a-r-r-r-d!

My favorite sound, most likely at Disneyland. Sadly I don't know the names of the voices. The current guy is good, but with all due respect the one they used before for lo those many years...classic.

Passengers will stand by to board...

Well, I guess when you talk about "little details" you are talking about all those little things that completely separate Disneyland from every other theme park in the world.

One of my favourite spots, however, is this little alcove in New Orleans Sqaure.



It really serves little purpose beyond the cosmetic, but it is just one of those things that really puts the park that one step above other parks.

However, almost everything on Main Street is a joy for me to look at, as I love that Americana thing its got going for it. I could easily spend hours just wandering up and down Main Street.

Right now my favorite detail is the mickey pumpkin that sits in Wal's apartment to the left of the light in the window.

The fact that some of the gauges in the steam engines still are marked "SF&D RR"--Santa Fe & Disneyland Railroad.

i love the lights in tomorrowland during nighttime, the smell of the rides, the specific sounds/music you hear while walking down each land, the feelings of excitement you have when you are on the tram on the way to the esplanade

my favorites are certain smells on rides...like on Indiana Jones, the Autopia, POTC

yes ! i love the smell of indie ! whether that's weird or not.. lol.

and i loove everytime i hear people screaming on a ride. not in a sick twisted way, but just you KNOW they're having fun ! especially on cali screamin' with the countdown and allllll.

Also, sounds! Not just the great music, but the mechanical sounds. I work for a lumber company in the PNW. When I hear pressurized air bleed off from an actuator, it sounds just like the release of the bobsleds at the beginning of the Matterhorn! Or when I hear the clanking of a chain going over a sprocket, I think of the ending of POTC and the lift back to the loading area. Very memorable sounds from Disneyland! Thanks Walt!

Just to let you in on a little secret...there's a utilitarian side to the cosmetic here...that room upstairs, behind the facade, is an area which at least in my time was used as an overflow storage area for the New Orleans Main Kitchen, which is underground!!!
