No, I just thought we were pointing to the other next door.

This saying has meaning to me!
"Aargh. Fifteen men on a dead Dodge Dart."
My high school car was an old Dodge Dart Slant 6!
It would be nice but I prefer DCA. If rumors are true, the first three years of HalloweenTreat are starting off modest and they will be amped little by little until that point. And if they held it at Disneyland, tickets would probably be a lot more expensive.

I'm addicted to Disneyland. Disneyland hobbies are expensive.
If I become a bum people are going to say "Don't give him money, he's just gonna use it on Disneyland."
Disneyland. My Anti-drug.
With all this talk of "off the shelf" and "on the back-burner" it seems the only thing that DCA is really missing is the kitchen sink!

I am going tonight with my 5YO twin girls and (coincidentally) I was at the DL version 11 years ago when my first daughter was 5. I remember the whole thing being too "spread out" and there was not really a lot of candy to be had.
It didn't really matter because the cool thing was just being there and doing something special. I lived in NY (or was I in AZ by then?) at the time and going to D-Land was a special thing anyway but Halloween was even more so.
I did not go to MHT last year and I can't wait to go tonight but it seems like having it more "compressed" will be a good thing, especially for the little 'uns who may not be able to get around the whole park in the short duration of the event without feeling rushed. We obviously won't be doing any of the big rides (ToT) and I'm sure they will want to know what happened to Bear (Playhouse Disney) but I look forward to seeing a show or 2 and seeing the neato decorations in person.
So, I suppose I am withholding judgement until I can get first-hand experience.

I guess I am more an "old school" type of person. It is just that the pictures I saw of people at WDW MK appeared to be having alot of fun and it brought back memories of 1995. DCA is fun but it is rather limited in what you can do and ride! In 1995 it was fun riding Peter Pan as Peter and my wife Wendy as well..........Wendy! We even had parents who had kids dressed as Tink wanting pictures with us! It was even funnier when the CM Peter Pan and Wendy took pictures with us too! Ah yes! Fond memories of days gone by.........<sigh>!
Wonder if Captain Jack will make it over to the DCA side?
No, it does sound like a blast at DL but for the time frame provided and the basic core of the event, I think Halloween Treat suits DCA better. However, I do think Halloween overall could be done a lot better at DL. Also, another part of the big appeal for Halloween Treat for me currently is the cost/value.
