Photo Report 10/25: Empty park, Christmas decorations, etc.

Didn't have to work yesterday so I thought I would go to the park and enjoy the Halloween festivities and nice fall weather. I arrived at the entrance around 1:00 p.m., and was pleasantly surprised to find no crowds at all!

Minnie and Mickey were on Main Street greeting the guests.

This was a sight I haven't seen in quite a long time! This was just like those off-season days most of us have missed.

Seeing that the park was empty, we decided to head on over to Space Mountain to check out the line. No fast pass needed here.

Next stop, New Orleans Square. As we entered the area we noticed that Christmas decorations have already taken over.

I like this Tinkerbell pumpkin. However, if you look closely you see she's missing something very important.

I really enjoyed my day, beautiful weather, no crowds and no lines! But sadly, another fun day at Disneyland came to a close and I had to say goodbye.

Wow, looks like I chose the wrong day to go! Excellent photos!

Are the Xmas decorations up because of a commercial being filmed?

I don't know. Perhaps they are getting a jump start on putting up Christmas decorations?

^ Seeing as the Holidays at DLR officially start just two weeks away, on November 11th, it's a jump start. Furthermore, Disneyland did their holiday commercial on Main Street back in mid-August.

It's crazy because it seems like Halloweentime just started.

Nice pictures though - gosh, I swear I haven't seen the park that crowd-less for years!

The Christmas decorations are not up for a commercial. Work on the decorations actually started weeks ago with the installation of things which are not usually noticed by guests such as the lights on IASW and the lights at Big Thunder Ranch. The visible decorations such as the ones pictured above usually start going up mid-October.

Wow... those Christmas decorations don't seem out of place at all with HalloweenTime just on the other side of a park... wierd!

Anyway, thanks for the photos - great update!

These pictures are awesome but at the same time make me sad! I was supposed to be at Disneyland this month but due to financial reasons couldn't go. But I absolutely love all the holiday decorations!

Is it her wings or her wand that Tinkerbelle is missing?

Great photos. Always enjoy your photos. I love it that you are able to get the characters to pose for you.

I'm glad you had a good time. An empty fall off-season week day was always my favorite time to go and I can't believe that those kinds of days still exist.

    I'm jealous!
