Question Where Should The Next Big Disney Park Be Built?

If it was YOUR decision, where would you like to see the next big Disney resort get built?

I've added a poll to this thread. Some of my proposed locations are realistic, some may not be. But again, this is your DREAM Disney land area.

For me I'd like to see them build one in Australia. There is SO much that could be done with an Australian themed Disney park. ::sigh::

    ...Joe...

PS to the Mods...I have no clue where to place this post, so please move it to the correct area if needbe. Sorry!

After the thinking through this (I thought about Italy for a moment) I think they should build a Disney park in Canada! Eh?

All business indicators are pointing to India, and it is about 10 years or so away...

You know I had India as one of the choices originally, but then changed it to Italy at the last second.

I can see a Disney park in India. Since I know elephants are big down there in the wild there would be no problem incorporating Dumbo as a big attraction! (Okay, okay, I don't quite remember if Dumbo is an African or Asian elephant.)

I can't really see them building a Disney park in the UK. Probably since Euro Disney really isn't that far from England. I made the trek from London to Paris and we were there in less than half a day. The longest part being the ferry ride.

    Dubai

    Why?

    * It's trying to become the international vacation spot.
    * There's a LOT of construction equipment/contractors there right now
    * You'll get a huge amount of help from the Emirate (maybe ALL of the financing)
    * Warm (ok, hot) weather.... so maybe you build the whole thing INDOORS!
    * I'm getting tired of saying "Mumbai, India" or "Shanghai" or "Singapore/Malaysia"! :-)

Austrialia is not as bad a choice as people think... Those who are against point to population issues and question a parks sustanability and growth... Those who are for one point to Austrialia's higher than normal expendable income per capa... There is a lot of money to be made, and Disney has a track record of being successful in this type of market...

But I think Disney has been eyeing India's population with its economic developement including an emerging middle class and it's existing media market... As if it is a shinest red apple on a tree... Heck it makes even Iger salivate!

If it was my choice I would say Seattle... it can go right next to the fake hospital on Grey's Anatomy. I only say that cause I live here though.

I would think Australia would be a good choice, but realistically Shangai is next on the list. They are already in talks about it so we'll see it in a decade.

I wouldn't want to see the park themed to Australia if it was there though. Disneyland isn't a park themed to its location.. well not specifically. The only park themed to the location it is in is DCA and look how well that theme worked.

I think you a little crazy... But it makes you wonder what it would be like to have something like IASW in the Arab world...

But I am rooting for Aqaba, "land of mistery and enchantment... and whole sale Disney goods that could be bought on sale, today!"

Heck the King of Jordan would appreciated it...

Back here in So Cal! Up those AP prices to include a new park! Long Beach would be a nice place(if there was room somewhere)

Well, what I was picturing was just a few Australian touches here and there. Some Aboriginal (sp?) art, maybe instead of Matterhorn have an Ayres Rock ride? I know a completely Australian themed Disneyland would be overwhelming, but a few touches of the land couldn't hurt either.

Disney was going to do something in Long Beach a few years back, Port Disney was the name if I recall. Well, Long Beach pretty much gave Disney attitude and Disney said, "Fine, we'll go elsewhere." I think L.B. is probably regretting this one. I could be wrong though.

UGH they need to stop building parks. Each time they build another disney park...Disneyland and Walt Disney World become less special and become more and more like Six Flags.

    In Armenia! hehe j/k
Of all the countries, I voted for Australia. I think it'd be the most successful there.
