Block Party Bash finally available for purchase on CD?

While waiting for BPB yesterday we heard faint Block Party Bash music coming down the parade route but there was no parade coming and the Introduction announcement had not yet commenced. We finally realized that the music was coming from the traveling scooter ODV which has now been equipped with a small sound system.

It was playing a similar but kind of remix version of Block Party Bash and it did not include any of the copyrighted songs featured in the parade (assumedly the reason an official CD has not yet been released). I asked the CM on the ODV if that was from a CD available for purchase and he said he did not know but thought so. We forgot to check if there were any new CDs available for purchase but I have a feeling there will be. Maybe it will be on a finally-updated DCA CD?

I was just in 20th Century Music looking for new stuff from the resort and they didn't have BPB on anything I could find.

The scooters have had that feature for a long time. It doesn't seem like this is a new development in any direction.

Why would they create/remix a new version of Block Party Bash? I highly doubt they went through the trouble of doing that just to make sure the ODV cart before BPB was playing a remixed BPB music...

Also, it's the first I've ever seen/noticed the ODV playing music. The picture I posted from last year does not have the speakers, the ones I saw this weekend had the speakers at the base below the headlights.

Yes but that's not my point. The point was that it was playing a remixed version of Block Party Bash.

It's still not on cd though, unless you're a cast member in the show then of course you get the special 90 track cd for practice.

It's not so much remixed just some parts (assumedly copyrighted parts that prevent it from being released on CD to begin with) are different beats(?) I'm not a music person so I can't describe it in musical terms but some parts were just different from the regular parade track. Next time I'm there I'll try to record it if it's still there.

Trust me- nothing new is happening. The scooters have always had that feature with that same "remix," as you call it, which is really nothing more than the normal music without the vocal tracks.
