But why oh why do they have to reuse the same 50th stuff, replace the slogan with Year of a Millions Dream, and slap it back onto the user. Even the cups are the same, minus the 50.

I don't know, this annoys me as well. It totally strips away all of the "specialness" of the 50th stuff. The 50th two great, great logos... and I don't like it that theyre just recycling them... It just seems cheap and lazy IMHO.

None of the current information regarding the ride has said anything about it going underground. They're currently building the showbuilding underneath and behind the California Screamin' tracks.
