Twas the night before Halloween, and all through the park, people were stirring even though it was dark...

A festival of pumpkins on Mainstreet was found, it seemed a tough sell with few people around.

Down Mainstreet the Disneyland band made it's way
To the retreat of the flags at the end of the day...

Our hearts swelled with pride as the colors receded
When the soldiers stepped forward, more kleenex was needed

We all stood as one as the band played it's strains,
We think of our troops as the eventide wanes

One last quick glance, before he disappears,
If Pressler comes back, you won't see him for years...

The park during autumn is something to see,
Sitting on Mainstreet is where you'll find me

So I thought I'd exclaim ere I leave you in fright,
To all you in Micechat: Happy Halloween night!

We were at the Park yesterday too, and it was an absolutely beautiful Autumn day and evening! And it was fairly low-attendanced until around 4 or 5pm when the crowds picked up a bit.

I was going to look closely at the Flag Retreat photos to see if I could spot myself, but I think I was standing very close to where you were taking the photos from the train station.

As we were with our Club 33 Member-friend, we got to do all the cool special stuff his membership provides. We road the Lilly Belle during the day, got to ride up in the pilothouse of the Mark Twain at night and ring the bell and toot the whistle. Beautiful view at night up there on the Texas Deck...and I can't recall the last time I rode the Mark Twain at night...what with Fantasmic hogging her many evenings. And we got to dine at the Club, which is always great.

Going back over today. We stayed the night at the Sheraton behind the Park. The brand new renovated rooms are just fantastic! And what a great deal at only $115 AAA rate for the night that we got at the last minute. Will report on that in another thread later. But we're having a great kinda impromptu little two day Halloween visit to Disneyland here.

Looking out the turret window of our "castle" suite here at the Sheraton right now...it looks a bit overcast and is much drearier and creepier than the sunny fall day yesterday. Just PERFECT weather for Halloween day!

It was a Nikon D50, but I'm still trying to figure out how it works.

I didn't post my blurry ones as I'm still trying to figure that out myself.

Here, for example, are some from the Haunted Mansion a couple weeks ago...

So...as you can see, I haven't quite nailed the whole getting the camera not to shake thing down yet.
