Question Fantasyland Skyway Loading Dock

Okay, so we've seen the Fantasyland Skyway loading dock left alone for so many years. We've seen the trees engulf it to the point of it almost fading away.

Now, with that said what does everybody think should be done with the loading dock area? I know that mostly everybody's big dream is to leave the loading dock alone in the hopes that the Skyway will return someday, but in all honesty I highly doubt that's ever going to happen. Although, I have kept that as an option in the above poll.

Personally, I'd like either one of two things to be done. Turn it into a ride of some sorts, or maybe even move the Fantasyland restaurant up there so that a new dark ride could be added next to Pinocchio.

What are your thoughts MiceChat?

that would be interesting to have a restaurant up there, but I don't think there would be enough room. Maybe

Well, if they're not going to bring the Skyway back (and they aren't). It's way too small for a restaurant so maybe it should burn down, fall over and sink into the swamp.

if they were going to do anything with it other than use it for storage, it would have to be dozed. i don't think its handicap accessible.

Too small and awkward of a location to do much with. Maybe they could sell firework dinners there where you get to eat up there with a small party and watch fireworks.

And no Skyway. The ride was ugly and pointless.

Re: Fantasyland Skyway Loading Dock

I think a resturaunt would be cool, I recall hearing that it was once used for private parties and such... but I agree that something needs to be done with it, Disney always does that... they leave effects, rides, tracks, shops, and other attractions left abandon for years and years... anyways if not a resturaunt... perhaps another stroller storage place or lockers.

Convert it into a wedding chalet. That would be cool!

Re: Fantasyland Skyway Loading Dock

the platform is really not that big. best thing to do is to tear it down and open up that very crowded area. Even if they have to turn it into a stroller parking spot for the autopia attraction to help clear up the walkways from strollers.

Re: Fantasyland Skyway Loading Dock

I think it would be nice to bring back the Skyway, but I doubt it, unfortunately...I dunno they should do SOMETHING to it...It's depressing to look at it all empty, and covered up with trees...

Re: Fantasyland Skyway Loading Dock

I think with a little work it would make a nifty little studio apartment. They could give away permission to live there a month at a time as part of the Million Dreams promotion. You'd have the best chance of getting on Peter Pan without too much of a wait...

To bad no attached parking.

And no one gets to invite Lindsay Lohan over!
Cherna-Lohan, on the other hand, is more than welcome.
