The 2007 Disneyland® Half Marathon will be held September 2, 2007.


REGISTRATION

Registration will open November 15, 2006. The race will have a limited capacity and is expected to fill to capacity several months in advance. Official capacity limits will be announced at a later date

HALF MARATHON DATE AND TIME

The Disneyland® Half Marathon will take place on Sunday, September 2, 2007 and is scheduled to begin at 6:00 a.m.
COURSE DESCRIPTION

This fantastic event will take runners from Disney's California Adventure® Park, celebrating California's storied past and exciting future, to the Disneyland® Park where you will explore the fantastic "lands" of nostalgia, color and delight. Then it is on to the scenic streets of Anaheim, past Arrowhead Pond, home of the Anaheim Mighty Ducks, along the Santa Ana Trail overlooking the Santa Ana River, around Angel Stadium, home of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, and finally back through Disney's California Adventure® Park for an exciting finish of the Happiest Race on Earth! Ideal weather and a flat loop course set the stage for an exhilarating Half Marathon designed to shatter personal bests.
ELIGIBILITY

To compete, you must be 14 years of age or older and able to complete the Half Marathon in three and a half (3.5) hours or less (16-minute mile pace).

I can't wait to do it! I am going to start training! I wanted to do it last year but it sold out by the time I found out. Did any other Micechat folks do this last year? Was it fun? I am so excited!!

I did it and it was a great time! There are pictures around here somewhere. The only "bummer" for 2007 is that it's going to be Labor Day Weekend - busy, busy busy around the parks that day.

And don't forget Rockit Space Mountain, Nemo ride, Will and Elizabeth on POTC, aftermath of POTC-AWE! It will be pure hell next summer...pure hell I tell ya!

I did this for the Innagural Race and it was very fun. I really want to do it again. Too bad they moved the time up to Labor Day. Some advice if you are planning on doing it I would register within the first week. It will probably fill up fast.

I went on the Disney sports website this morning to check out the registration (supposed to open today) and found this announcement:

The opening of registration for the 2007 Disneyland® Half Marathon has been postponed until January 8, 2007. The date of the race has also changed to Monday, September 3, 2007 - Labor Day. Please continue to check disneylandhalfmarathon.com for updates.

Hmmm... i thought Rockin' Space Mountain was only gonna be from January 3, 2007 - April 2007 as stated in this website:

I'm not interested in doing the half-marathon, but would love to do the 5K Run. Will that be offered this year?
