    Talking Cheaper hotel question.

    Hey everybody!

So, (SQQUUUUUUUUEEEEEEEE! BTW) we'll be in Anahiem this Saturday. We're driving down that morning so that we don't have to do any driving and we can use the heck outta our Sunday hoppers. Our "official" Hotel stay doesn't start until Sunday, so we're looking for a hotel that's nice but won;t breka the bank for Saturday night. It doesn't have to be close to Disneyland, I just don't want to stay in a dive (that recent thread about bedbugs freaked me the heck out). ANy one have any suggestions?

Has anyone ever used that priceline site?

    Thanks guys!

I've never used priceline, so I can't speak to that. I was going to suggest ht hotel I am at (best Westenr park palce inn and mini-suites) but they look like they are full that night. It might be a challenge to find a room for that night. Good Luck!

I've used priceline. Jusy make sure you choose the top stars. I've gottent he crowne palza and the hilton for $44.00 a night. We did go down in strs once and stayed and this horrible place. There was blood on the matress and pet stains on the carpet, fodd crumbs everywhere and people left trash in the cubboards ...I guess the maids don't clean there.....but that was the only bad experience and we chose 2 or 21/2 stars for that one.

There is a Residence Inn nearby - they are somewhat reasonable if memory serves me correctly. I think it's on Clementine or Disney Way or Katella - either way, it's in that general vicinity.

Also, do you have Auto Club - Triple A? They might be able to assist as well.

    Re: Cheaper hotel question.

I gave Travelocity a try a couple of times and bad experiences each time. I payed for the room online and when I checked out of the hotel they told me that my credit card had been declined. I then said - um, no I booked through Travelocity and paid online - here is my receipt - both times the desk people just basically said - oh that explains it.

Most of the hotels on Harbor are decent and not badly priced, but every person's budget is different.

Alpine Inn or Anaheim Plaza. Both are decent priced and ok to stay at (ie clean).
If you see a cute yellow lab puppy with a yellow cape, WAVE! It might be us! (Or it may be someone else that lurks here!) Thank you for asking before you pet! Next trip, Dec 22-Jan 3rd.

We stayed at Hampton, I think it was in the city of Oragne, which isn't that far away and it wasn't that bad at all.

Alpine in is great as far as I'm concerned. Stayed at the Desert Palms next door and it doesn't compare, although from the outside it looks nicer.

I used Priceline last week and got a great room at the Hyatt for $42. And they have a free shuttle to and from the park that leaves every half hour.
So many mouse ears, so little time...

    Re: Cheaper hotel question.

We did the Anaheim Plaza Inn last month and found it to be just fine for what we needed - a place to sleep that wasn't too far to walk if we needed to go back for something and decent prices.

If you go to their website they might be running a web only deal.

The only problem I find with priceline is that you never know if the place you get will charge extra for things like parking.
