    Alice in Wonderland--updated!!!

Since I have not seen this talked about anyplace else I thought I would pass along the great news. If anyone has been on Alice in Wonderland in the past 22 or so years, you have seen technology from 1984. Well the good news is it looks like someone went to Best Buy and got some new projectors. They have changed out the caterpillar A-E-I-O-U, the Cheshire Cat's changing head from the half moon to the smile, the flying hedgehog, and the smoke circles around the Cheshire Cat's head at the end with great new projectors. It looks like it is right out of the film, but it would have to be brand new to fit the way it is set up. The colors look amazing and very "Alice" like.

Yea, the hedgehog was the most obvious upgrade as it now really stands out. It seems that all projectors are getting upgraded ever since Davy Jones' premiered.

I did get video but I've been unable to upload thanks in part to Final Fantasy XII taking over my life lately.

Thanks for the tip. "Alice" has always been one of my favorite stories. Let's see, the ride opened in '58 so that was 24 years to the rehab of '82... and now 24 more years to 2006. Interesting.

    oh, that's fantastic!

Alice is still my favorite Dark ride!

I heard a rumor that all the projectors are going to be replaced w/ digital projectors.
They should be much cleaner/clearer and stay that way much longer.

Old ones were film and easily got dirty and worn.

They need to bring back the loud bang at the end. This always stood out to me as a kid.

Oh, good, that makes me happy. Last time I rode Alice, I noticed that several effects weren't working, so it's good that things have been taken care of.

I can't wait to see that. That's such a fun ride and I missed it our last trip.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

I wanna ride, I wanna ride! Can we go on it twice though, I really want to see those enhancements!

Anyways, I've ridden the Alice and Wonderland attraction alot recently and man I have to say that it really needs a makeover of some kind and anything like this is a big plus in my book! That's what happens when good ol' Disneyland Manangement taking a look at an old fan favorite and says: "Hey this looks bad, let's do somethin' about it." Unlike DL's counterpart (WDW) which Al all imformed us about. Makes me feel proud that my favorite park is getting the tender love and affection it needs! Good Job DL!
