Exclamation Big News!!!! - Disneyland at Capacity Today

I was just informed by my sister who was going to Disneyland just now (1pm), that they aren't letting anyone else in because the Park is at full capacity. They have between 70-80 thousand guests in there already...can you believe it???

Which tells me if it's that crowded now, it'll be worse later tonight, if they let more people in. I was going with my partner and best friend, but it looks like we may change our plans.

Just an FYI for anyone out there thinking of going...be prepared and don't forget to have an extra dose of *patience level* on you!

Yes I can. It's a nationally observed holiday.

Personally, what I can't believe is the people that risk their lives (or at least their sanity) in crowds like that - mostly referring to the AP crowd that could wait a week or two for a more sparsely patronized day. At any rate, that's the category I'm in, which is why I'm at home now.

Amen to the aforely mentioned *patience level.* That's SO important on busy days, for your enjoyment and the enjoyment of others.

Yeah I believe it. Schools are out and lots of places are closed. Sooooooo yes.
Im sure it will be nice and busy all weekend as well.

I went for Veteran's Day last year and vowed I'd never do it again. Headache-inducing crowds. People have since told me it's as bad as Christmas. I can believe it.

I think I might go to Knott's tonight instead, since I have an annual pass there too. It may not have the charm like Disneyland, but it can still be fun. I like to refer to Knott's as *Ghetto Charm*!

At least their Park is never that crowded, which is always nice!

Thanks for the info. I wasn't going myself (already have plans) but my parents were thinking of going later on. I warned my mom on the phone about how it's packed to capacity.

I beg to differ, as I have also witnessed local crowds descending on Knotts on days like this before.

Not to say that you wouldn't have fun, but basically all forms of entertainment are reaping in the crowds this weekend.

UGH! That's not good to know. I suppose all form of theme parks are out this weekend for me. Perhaps I'll catch a movie...did you know all movies at the Main Place Mall in Santa Ana (yes, they are open again with new management and company) are only $1 for the month of November? Just a thought...or if anyone else has any good ideas, throw them my way!

That's no bueno. Thanks for the info. I don't like crowds this size. Not everyone wears deodorant, ya know.

Plus tomorrow they are possibly filming the Christmas parade at Disneyland, as stated in another thread, so just imagine what it will be like tomorrow.

I don't think we'll be back until day after Turkey day or Friday, Dec 1 - my birthday. Hopefully things die down by then.

I was there last year today and it was BAD. Worse than a summer weekend. I'm so glad I'm at home.
