As I entered the parking lot, we were warned about the crowds to be that day.
And at around 9:45 am, even the tram had a line.
I did however notice new billboards at the tram route.
And as I entered the park, we were warned of the filiming taking place this fine November morning.
Camera crews lined Main Street.
And even the bathroom had a 30 minute wait time!
Main Street bottlenecked worse than Adventureland on a summer day.
But at the hub we finally found some logic to the madness.
Ryan Seacrest came out to introduce Daniel Powter, who had played earlier in the day.
And the magic of Hollywood assisted the forgetful Seacrest to get the take just right!
As we headed to Main Street to view the parade, we saw tiny cheerleaders coming out to kick off the show.
And admiration for the flagholders went higher and higher as they waited endlessly for their segment to begin.
The bottleneck was so bad, guests were escorted backstage to escape the crowds.
And the highlight of the event... HANNAH MONTANA!!! (Who had to run through her segment three times before nailing it.)
Wait times didn't look so bad...
Except the second floor of Jungle Cruise had to be opened. On the left of the second floor is the queue for Jungle Cruise, and believe it or not, the right side of the second floor is the queue for Indy!
We later returned to the hub to see Ryan Seacrest prepping for another segment.
"It was about this big..."
"So it had to go sideways rather than straight in..."
He even took a moment to sign a young fans autograph.
Don't be hatin' Rege!!!
"Don't you ever take my mic again!"
"Sorry Mr. Seacrest."
Ok, I'm outta here, this is too much. Maybe New Orleans Square holds more excitement.
"What's that smell?"
Santa's Reindeer Round-Up brought in the kiddies to decorate gingerbread cookies artistically.
And Baloo entertained the masses coming out of the Round-Up.
The Castle was closed off all day due to the stage in front of it.
YAY! The second half of the parade is about to start!!!
Snow White makes her way off to her float along with her prince.
After the parade, the only way out of the hub was through Snow White's Grotto... I'ver never seen it so crowded!
But thankfully there were enough mariachi's to save the day!
Aurora and Phillip came around on their float for a second wind.
As did Snow White...
And... Stitch?!?!?!
I want to dance the night away too!!!
As we escaped the crowds, we graciously took shelter at Jungle Cruise, where we were able to talk a skipper into modeling for us!
Nice hats!
And apparently there was no escaping the crowds anywhere...
Happy Holidays from It's a Small World!
Even if the lighting was put together with cheapo green duct tape...
As we left, we took one final look at the graceful castl with the beautiful stage in front.
And were glad to find out that even us Jews are welcome at Disneyland!
A very fun day indeed. Look for the crazy tall blonde chick with a camera above the crowds on the "Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade Special" on ABC airing Christmas Morning... check local listings!
