What DL ride was open for the shortest amount of time.

My buddy is in the park right now and returns tomorrow. Well him and I have been shooting Disney Trivia back and forth via Text Messages. Well he finally sent me a question that I can't respond to.

What Disneyland Ride (not attraction) was open for the shortest amount of time?

I can think of just about every ride ever built but I have no Idea the time frames in which they ran in the park.

I'm calling upon the help of the famous MiceChatters to help me on this one. He's been using City Hall for some of my questions, so it's only fair that I use MC's.

Actually, I'm pretty sure Super Star Lame-o Limo holds that honor.

Rocket Rods were open for about 18 months. Lame-o... less than one year.

I totally forgot that ride even existed. But he said Disneyland. That "ride" was in DCA.

Are we talking strictly rides, or rides and attractions? There were probably a few things in tomorrowland in 1955 that didn't last too long. Wasn't there like a "House of Paint" or something to that effect?

Seems to me that the "Viewliner," Walt's futuristic looking, mini-Aerotrain, lasted only a year before being replaced by the Monorail in 1960.

What about the Flying Saucers in Tomorrowland? Those only lasted a few years.

We are only talking Disneyland. Superstar Limo is in DCA. We all know how short that was.

they were there for 5 years (albeit they kept breaking down!). they opened in 1961 and closed about 1966.

i'd go with the phantom boats. i don't think those even made it a year!
    I'd rather be at Disneyland

Re: What DL ride was open for the shortest amount of time.

1957-1958, The Viewliner "The fastest miniature train in the world" ran alongside the Disneyland Railroad for just over a year, and therefore has the distinction of being the shortest-lived ride in the park's history.
