Re: I'm the only one who appriciates Disneyland the right way.

I am 50 years old, and I'm sure that many of you already know my history with, and feelings about the park.

I have a Southern California annual pass now (please, the more expensive one if that makes you anti-APers happy), and after a 10 year absence I can tell you that I have visited five times since my getting my pass last January.

As far as seeing the park itself, I'd be okay with visiting two-three times per year at most. I live 100 miles away but even if I lived closer I'd likely feel the same way.

Maybe that's the residue of seeing the park from the inside out, both Mickey's glove and the iron fist underneath for eight years.

It's also due to the fact that, at least at this point in my life, I perceive extra hassles now of getting into, and around the whole resort, along with the year-round choking crowds now that didn't used to exist. I admit that these are augmented by some severe physical limitations I am now confronting. Still, for now those things nearly cancel out the magic for me.

The reason for repeated visits now would be to see the people I've met through this marvelous website, and to meet new MiceChatters.

To each their own. Minus MiceChat, 2-3 trips per year are more than enough to keep the Disney magic alive for me.

To others, I say however often you want to enjoy the Park and in whatever ways, more power to you.

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Yes, i'm an APer, but i have no need to flame him. He has already embarassed himself with his nonsensical opinion.

Disneyland is a similar yet unique experience for everyone who enters the happy place, same as life.

I can't say that the number of times a person visits Disneyland ruins the magic for them because I don't know if that's true or not. But I do agree with JLee on the fact that it is always a very special place for us out of staters to visit and enjoy on the rare occassion.

i agree its probably more of an experience for a yearly person rather than a weekly... but no less special...

People who live near Disneyland and go every day are always finding fault with Disneyland, they pay more attention to the chipped paint on the garbage cans than the true magic that Walt intended. Walt didnít want people to go to his park every day. He only went about once a month himself.

People who live far far away and only go once every couple of years are even worse. They donít have the intimate understanding of the park that I do. They will be overly distracted by the crowds and such that they canít get on every ride they want to. They donít even know what rides they want to ride at all.

In the end, I think Disney should try to limit, or eliminate, anyone whose Disneyland experience is slightly different from mine. The are all clogging up the walkways and elongating the lines anyway.

Of course, Iím not talking about any of YOU nice people.

I live 1203.75 miles from disneyland, and only starting going once a year since like 7 years old, So I guess I almost triply appreciate disneyland more than you, right

I think people can enjoy disneyland and appreciate who go more than you go. I've been to disneyland a total of 11 or 12 times, and about half and i was too little to remember. Just because your an AP doesn't mean you can't appreciate disneyland for what it is
