Awww T-jel, all this time I haven't been enjoying myself and didn't even realize it! Thanks for enlightening me!

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

I'm sure there are plenty of people who could go everyday and never give a care to the paint, or lack thereof. I'd be one of those people, if I could go everyday, and if I could go everyday, I would. I'm sorry for forgetting the poster who mention the financial aspect of any visit to the park, because they made really the best point of all. Maybe some of us can't afford to love Disneyland as much as others can, but we love it no less, or more. If this thread was sarcastic, or a joke, or tongue in cheek, or whatever...speaking for myself, I had no idea. I read the thread because I was curious about "the right way". As I said in my earlier post, it's a unique experience for all of us, and how can something unique ever be compared?

It's so interesting to read thru this thread, being an old-timer here on MiceChat.

This board has grown so much, that some of us (myself included) forget that it's not the tight little community that it use to be. Now it's a tight BIG community, which is great.

But new posters to the board don't know TheJoshuaLee and his interesting sense of humor (it's an acquired taste), and thusly, they are perturbed by his seemingly asenine threads.

However, once one understands that T-Jel (as he is affectionately known in these parts) is merely having a little fun, then it is possible to see the humor in his posts and join in on the fun.

The great thing about MiceChat is that is a fun place to be. It's not heavily moderated which is most excellant, and if you stick around long enough you'll find that most everyone here is pretty cool... albeit a little quirky at times.

    Long live MiceChat!

    Thank you!

I'd have to agree that he's an acquired taste. Personally, I find that he's a little tart.

That is to say, he may be a little tart, but that's why we love him.

Hmmph! I'm the only one who appriciates (sic) Club 33 the right way: by never having been, thus my taste for it never diminishes, unlike those that go every week (Opi, I'm looking right at you!).

Keeping the park 'manicured' (painted and hedged) was part of Walt's 'show'. These things never happened at one time. That's why it is noticed by some of us. Including dress code and 'hair' and 'makeup'.

One figures that when so much money is pumped in to the resort on a daily basis that funds for 'touch up paint' and 'hedge trimmers' shouldn't rock the budget too much and would 'perk up the show' more.

I love the place too - but these are things I notice. They do not detract from my love for the place - it's that I love the place that makes me notice these things.
