New Splash Mountain Single Rider Sign

I went to go ride Splash Mountain a couple days go and the CM told me I didn't need a SR pass like I normally would. Then when I got to the exit there was a large new sign that said "Single rider entrance" and two CM's standing there guiding single riders into the exit. This has made me concerned because I used to feel special riding SR, like I new an inside secret and now it is out there advertised to everyone. Do you think the SR line will become too crowded? Maybe I'm making too big a deal out of it? Let's Discuss.

Nahh. They could advertise it on national TV and it still wouldn't get used. The amount of single parties are minimal, and even attractions with dedicated Single Rider queues (Test Track in Florida is a great example), get very little usage.

If you are referring to the tign with brer rabbit on it, and slighty oval shaped, then that sign pointing up the exit has always been there. Sometimes they place it out in the middle of the walkway and sometimes it is off to the side. On more crowded days, there are also cast members directing parties with wheelchairs, and signle riders in the right direction.

I find it to be hit and miss with the length of the single rider line. Sometimes I undo the chain, go across the bridge and the CM calls out "single rider" as I am going down the stair case. Other times, although rare, I have seen the line past the first chain. At that point it isn't worth the wait for me. I find it to be similar to the SR line for Soarin' over California. Fastpass is usually shorter than single rider for me in Soarin'.

I've never seen the Single Rider "line" big, in fact, there has only been about 2 or 3 people waiting, at the most.

I've seen the line get very big. For a while a couple I was worried they'd stop using it from the number of people that were always in it. The line would go up the stairs, across the bridge, back down the stairs and sometimes even hit the rope. But that's died out over the last year and a half or so and now it's back to what it was.

And yes Monorail Man, i want to see them advertise this on national tv

weird...most ive ever seen in the SR line was 2-3 whether or not it will become overpopulated with people trying to get ahead in line....i seriously doubt it. most people still wont notice it and there arent a terrible amount of SR's to start...heh, just my .02

That Sign is old we have had it for years. it only comes out on the Really busy Days when we have a wheelchair line outside. ALso We dont keep Single Rider a secret on Busy Days as we would send our extra Cms out to the end of the line and inform our guests about single rider, it helps our counts on busy days.

Yeah, that sign has been there for a while.

As long as there will be large groups and families coming to Disneyland, I don't think you'll have to worry about it

Single rider line is a long wait even with 2 people waiting. Now more people will see it! Darn.

When I'm on my own at DL and I want to go on Splash, I always use SR with very little waiting. THe longest line I've experienced only had a couple of people ahead of me. I didn't have to wait long to ride. I love SR. It beats those 60-90 min waits.
