So I went to the resort today after I found out that I had the day off last night. It was a pleasant surprise and since I had nothing to do I said "Hey, I'm going to Disneyland!" I got there around 11:30 am and I found that it was really really windy and cold (as at least one of my pics will show). Fortunately the wind, the coldness and Hump Day scared away all the crowds as there really weren't anyone there. So after parking in Goofy I get into the park in about 10 minutes. I took a picture of the almighty Walt and Mickey:
I then (like I always do when I get there) checked the table of all the ride/attraction queue length. Looks real real good.
I go to Indy which had a wait of "15 minutes" which really was just walking all the way to the video room.
Don't step here!
Didn't know how good this would turn out, so I tried.
Ok here is a question, when you exit the cave part of the exit there are two sets of doors, are these doors open after hours? Kind of like the doors at Big Thunder Trail?
Inside the back of Indy's truck.
I ate at the Stage Coach and I saw this show featuring the mayor, the sheriff and the mayor's 'daughter.' They had me laughing soo hard. If anyone has seen this 'show' remember..."That happened one time."
Ok so I go ride HMH where I was blinded by the professional flash photographers with their disposable camera. They'll be happy so see that they will only get a flash of light on their pics of the ballroom. I get off I start to walk towards Winnie the Pooh, and I got my "dream" I got a pin and a 'free 5x7 photo from the photo supply co. shop when one of their photographers takes one of me.' Hey I finally got a dream, even though it was a really small one, this could be useful, unlike the Dream Fastpasses that were not needed today due to the small crowds, yet they still handed them out anyway.
On the way to Winnie the Pooh at the Hungry Bear:
I then went of to PotC where I was blinded again by another professional photographer. After that I went over to DCA to check in to HTH. There is the stage of the Candlelight already set up.
This is how bad the winds were, they were blowing off the Dreams banners. Was that Walt telling us something? (I'm kidding...or am I).
After ToT, I was walking back to Disneyland when I noticed some good detail on the Hyperion.
Anybody spot the Tip Top Club?
This new?
So I get back into Disneyland and walk onto Space Mountain...twice. After that I went over to Star Tours!
Inside the 'lobby'
It was fun, after Star Tours I walked onto BLAB...twice. I sucked bad.
I meant to take a pic of the guy, but Buzz just HAD to take over the pic.
I then went over the Small World, I enjoyed it, just very cold in there! Sorry for the blurriness, no flash in here. Jack is a good boy.
Off I went to my favorite Fantasyland attraction, Mr. Toad's.
Details, details, details..
Noticed this under the statue.
After that I went to PDJ and after that, look who I ran into! Now there has been discussion on here about cute CM's, but this Mary Poppins, IMO, takes the cake. She was taking pictures with kids and their parents and as she was done, she saw me and was nice enough to pose for the picture. I told her Thank you, because she didn't have to do that, yet she did.
So I took Big Thunder Trail and on the way I looked at the cool painting where the pay phones (what are those?)
Where can the fish jump? Look at what the wind did!
I haven't been to the Disney Gallery since they put some new things in so I went in. They have some cool paintings in there.
The collection of Bob O's miniatures. Pure awesome.
3 Native Americans are in DL? I had no idea...
For all you CBJ lovers...
My final attraction was Jungle Cruise, again with the details.
They never talk about this gorilla...
As I was walking out of the park I saw Goofy posing for pics. There was a nice CM there to help so she took the pic. Thanks again!
So it was a fun day, even with the weather. I'd like to commend the custodians who were picking up so much branches and leaves that were making it way around the park due to the winds. For how hard the wind was blowing and how much trees there were, they did a real real good job.
Until again (which is in 2 days when I finally get to hang out with my brother).
In honor of Fishbulb and his fabulous TR's
THE END
