Exclamation Don't Forget to make your 50th Priority Seating Reservations TOMORROW, Tuesday May 17

Funny no one mentioned this yet (I wonder why) ...
Tuesday May 17th is the first (and probably) last day to make your priority seating reservations for either the Blue Bayou or the Carnation Cafe for Disneyland's 50th anniversary on Sunday July 17th.

The phone number is (714) 781-DINE. The phone lines open up at 8am PST.

GOOD LUCK

I only mentioned it because the Park is going to be really packed on the 17th.

Is it 60 days or 30 days out for reservations? I have heard both. I want to make PS for Blue Bayou and Ariel's Grotto some time during my week at DL after the 17th.

60 days on priority seating at restaurants and 30 days on tours.

Thanks for the reminder!

I thought that it was 45 days for the parks and 60 days for the hotel restaurants. I live in Chicago, so I should call at 10 a.m. our time? That's 8 a. m. California time. I will definitely be calling. We are a party of 6 and we are going to try to get a 2 p.m seating for the Blue Bayou. I did not know that the Carnation Cafe also accepted priority seating. We are 2 moms traveling with 4 children ages 6 to 14, so we will definitely need to have a relaxing meal midday. We plan on being at the park very early on the 17th.

Again thank you for the heads up.

Thanks. I'll get on the phone later this weekend for my PS. That will only make me more excited about my trip. Now I just have to wait until June to make reservations for the tours. Even more excitement!

This priority seating thing has me very confused. I recently read that it is 60 days for restaurants in the hotels and 45 days for restaurants in the parks. I also read 6o days - hotels - and 6 weeks in the parks.

The 17th of July is not 60 days away. The 60 day mark would be tomorrow.

The 45 day mark would be June 2nd.

the 6 week mark would be June 5th.

So now, my decision. Do I call today, just to ask , when I should call for a PS for the 17th of July? Yes, I probably will just play dumb, and call the 714-781-DINE #. I don't know how rigid they are on days out, and I certainly do not want to miss the boat.

We definitely want to eat at the Blue Bayou. We picked the anniversary date, because we feel we will need a break from the crowds (needing to get off our feet, midday). Since we are not sure we should leave the park on that day, even for a meal, and there are only a few restaurants that have PS.

Well I will call today, and ask, "what's up for PS's on the 17th' - just in case. I finally got a cell phone with free roaming.

Report back later after 10 a.m. Chicago time.

That's a good idea. Let me know how it goes.

Got my preferred tim for the Blue Bayou

After a long wait on hold, I was able to secure a priority seating for 1;50 p.m. It will be nice to know that we can get off our feet midday for a nice meal. I have never been to Disneyland, and am really looking forward to the chance to eat at the Blue Bayou on the anniversary day.

The CM that I talked to was also able to schedule 2 more priority seatings for me at the hotels, for later in the week.

I will be calling later in the week for a priority seating for Ariel's Grotto at DCA. The CM, that I spoke to said that it wasn't up in the system yet, since it was over 6o days away.

I guess the Disney people probably suspected this mad dash for the 17th of July, and opened up the system for the 17th of July. The 60 day mark is not until tomorrow. Sure glad that I called today, so I am all set.

Thanks again for the head's up.

wow.. are the PS like that all the time or is it just for the 17th... if it is all the time then I need to make reservations for my anniversary... okay so it will only be o 18 months for us but when your anniversary is the 20th of December... it is hard to get time off work to go and fly out to disneyland...
