Disneyland.
Well, let's see... They are both very different places, Disneyland overall has a better selection of rides, with Indy, Jungle Cruise, and the Original Tiki Room, but Magic Kingdom has a Jungle Cruise as well, but i prefer Disnyelands since the piranha attack additions and refurbishments, Magic Kingdom's also has pirates, unfortunately it os the VERY abbreviated version compraed to Disneyland, and don't even let me go on about the terrible Tiki Room: Under New Management *shudder*. Though Disneyland has better rides, that is not all that makes a "land" great.
Though Disnyeland has such great rides, it tends to get very congested very quickly, while Magic Kingdom gives you better manuevering capabilities. I also prefer Magic Kingdom's overall look more, with the Tiki room show building standing more prominent than Disneylands and the Caribean Fortress which holds Pirates. But both have Dole Whips, so it's all good. but if I have to choose between the two, i would prefer Disneylands AL.
i agree goofgeek. i voted for disneyland because of the ride but if were doen to size i would have voted for MK. i feel disneyland's adventure land is just a short strip lol
pshhh i guess
New Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Room. Jungle Cruise plussed with special effects...pistols back in the hands of our heroic captains. Indiana Jones jeeps careening thru one exxciting perilous situation after another.
Meeting Tarzan, Jane and a host of different critters on a daily bases at Tarzan's Treehouse. Being thoughly entertained by Aladdin, Jasmine and friends at their very own Oasis. Oh...and did I mention Dole Whips coming out your ears.
Tom Sawer Island is there for all to explore...soon to be vastly improved. In addition, the former Adventureland canoes are just a stones throw away in Critter Country, beckoning you to grab a paddle and enjoy a scenic tour of the Rivers of America.
Is their really any comparison!?![]()

Um, you do realize MK has a much better Dole Whip stand right? It's counter service with shorter lines plus the Dole Whips are cheaper there than at DL. Doesn't matter though... DL = Indy, MK = no Indy, case closed. Not to mention that MK ruined their Tiki room and have none of the new JC effects. Disneyland's Aventureland all the way.
However: What's the point in selling Dole Whips if you can't eat them in the Tiki Room? I wasn't that impressed with the Dole Whip location.
As for MK's Adventureland, I really liked it. However, what's the point of Adventureland when they've got DAK? Also, their Jungle Cruise loading is generic, and what's with Aladdin's carpets? Another Dumbo ride? Plus, it's very large. I would like DL's to be larger, but MK's is too large.

Point taken on the Dole Whip/Tiki Room thing, I usually eat my Dole Whip in line for Indy so I didn't think about it. In that instance then DL all the way.
I'm sure you know that Adventureland opened in 1971 and DAK in 1998 so I'll assume you're joking on that. As I believe BPF put it, the difference is that Adventureland is the fantasy of going on a cruise in the jungle of the past while Animal Kingdom is going on an adventure with real animals.
Just because MK's Adventureland is bigger I don't think it makes it better. I will give MK credit for having a Swiss Family Treehouse (Tarzan is nice but i miss the original.) I also like how it is set out on an island.
On the MK Jungle Cruise, I like the portion that goes into the temple (a nice touch) but outside of that a disappointment.
I don't like Aladdin's flying carpets; just don't like the look of it. Don't need to say anything about the inferior versions of Tiki and Pirates.
DL wins big time even before Indy.

Two different worlds.....we live in two different worlds
Unfortantly, it still competes with itself in several key points:
-You're in a far away place.
-You can see animals (MK's are Animatronic - DAK's are real!)
Adventureland just didn't impress me, especially considering that we went to DAK the previous day. I agree that the allusion of 'fantasy' is still there, but the underlying theme competes with itself.

I would say that if WDWAL had the Indy Jones Adventure, it would win hands down, but unfortunately it doesn't so DL gets the edge. Magic Kingdom's Adventureland is very nice, sure the Pirates is not quite as good as DL's or the Tiki Room, but the Jungle Cruise is still fun, and we got our pistols back too. I actually like the MK Jungle Cruise better, I'm not sure why, but there's just something about it; besides, it feels more real in the Floridian climate ;-P. I like the Swiss Family Treehouse more than Tarzan, and I actually get a kick outta the Magic Carpets, but in comparison to Indy, they all come short. Indy Rules!
