I didn't use flash. Well, I tried using flash, but as you can see by the picture below, it just washed out the colors.

I much, much prefer to get the natural light used in attractions and on buildings (and trees) rather than use flash, most of the time. It's less annoying to others, and you get a better feel for the lighting that is used in the actual location where the photo was shot. Compare the flash picture above to the picture below, and I'm sure you'll see what I mean:

Very nice pictures, as always. I would have thought that the tree would be more Disney-fied.

She rode it all with her eyes closed? I wonder how she did it.. I always keep my eyes open. I always like to know how fast I am going on the ride.

Great Photos! Especially the One of Sandy Claw's face. It's Amazing how you got the timing just right!

I love the green look of your wifes picture riding space mt. My husband rode it once when my daughters were little , they remarked when we came out that he looked "green" lol he really did. His normal coloring returned after emerging from the rest room from dousing himself with cold water.. he has never rode it since.

Re: Lotsa Photos: Holiday magic - Disneyland Photos at Night!

I was just going to ask about the green nature of FrogWife's face in the photo. Was she that green when she got off the ride, was it an odd angle of the photo of the photo or did Froggy have a bit of evil in him and turned his wife a bit froggier in complexion and make her look as green as she felt?

Great pics Froggy - the detailed shots of the tree are stunning!

Good question - the sync of the monitors made a greenish dark band appear over the entire photo where Frogwife's picture was. It makes her look much more nauseous than she truly was!

Yeah... But is she gonna ride Space again?

And what kind of camera are you shooting with that you can take natural light pics at night without blurring the image (unless you're using a bipod)?

No, she's not going to ride Space again (she says). I'm shooting with a [deepbreath] Canon Digital Rebel XT EOS 350D with 50mm 1.8 lens [/whew!]

I don't own a tripod or monopod or bipod. But remember kids, a fast shutter speed and large aperture prevents blurring. It's the long shutter speeds that cause blurring in night photos.

Man, that just kills me. I bought a Canon S21S last year for (probably) just a little less than you paid for your camera, but I can't take natural light pics in low light without blurring. I shoulda got the SLR.
