Disneyland all the way, thank you very much![]()

"With this place, I wanted to give them something real, something that wasn't an illusion, something they could see and touch. An aim devoid of merit."

I chose Disneyland for various reasons, some of which might be reasons others don't like Disneyland as much. For example, I like the closeness and coziness of the park. I like that they are so limited on space that they have been forced to integrate everything with the stuff next to it and create a seamless transition from place to place. I feel like everything meshes nicely, and I don't get that feeling at WDW.
Disneyland, eight themed lands all merging together to form the original "theme park". With a Adventureland that has some of the best Disney rides old and new, classic rides and an amazing theme at New Orleans Square, the true Old West coming alive in Frontierland with critter Country adding to it with Splash Mountain. Fantasyland feels like walking into a storybook which contains the tried and true best dark rides of Disney history, and with the post refurbed Space Mountain and new Subs leading the way of bringing back an amazing Tomorrowland, and Toontown actually a decent ride and interaction of characters but you wint want to stay too long, it all combines with with the ever familiar Sleeping Beauty Castle , to create a very intimate setting of Disney magic.
While on the East Coast, seven themed lands compose Magic Kingdom, right as you walk in the gate you see the larger scale more epic feel thats felt throughout the park. Adventureland seems to have most of its themes done right, but a lack of attarctions of "Disney quality", Frontierland is probably the only land that has all things working right, except for the need for some reurbishments on a few things. Liberty Sqaure seems like a natural extension of Frontierland with Haunted mansion and the sleeper (literally and figuratively) Hall of Presidents. Fantasyland has some good attractions but lacks presentation, Tomorrowland is like 1969 Dodge Charger that needs a tune up, its classic and has the potential to be great, but it needs some paint and refinement to make it that way. Toon Town Fair is just a big meet and greet which could be used for something better. Cinderella Castle is one of the most photgraphed landmarks in the world... lets just leave it at that.
Overall, both have very different feels to them, both have their ups and downs, but Magic Kingdom seems to have more downs than ups, so until the kick it into gear and fix a few things, Disneyland has my vote.
Disneyland hands down! The original always wins!
Been here and done this. Just too tired and lazy to reference the threads. Never ends up pretty.
Generally the original will always be the best. Disneyland!
You're doing these too close together Walt Jr. Give us time to reply in the other ones, yeah? hehe
Of course Disneyland wins. What would you rather have? A really huge burger with very little meat? Or would you rather have a smaller burger with the best meat possible and bacon on top?
I'd go with the smaller burger with good meat and bacon.

ooooo magic kingdom got burned.
No contest. Please.
A more proper thread would be EPCOT, MGM, and MK. Then I might consider them over Disneyland.
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary... Impossible is nothing."
Disneyland has more heart, imho...

Disneyland is better. *big surprise* There are threads like this all the time. Disneyland will ALWAYS WIN!!![]()
I love WDW, but there's only one thing about MK that I like better than DL, and that's Mickey's Philharmagic. The last time I was at WDW, I did all four 3D films in a short span of time. Philharmagic tops them all, hands down.
I used to love Timekeeper, too, but it's gone.![]()
A better question might be 'Where would you rather spend a week? Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World." That at least gives Florida a fighting chance.
The only thing Magic Kingdom has on D-land is the Donald orchestra thing (I can't remember its name). Other than that, it's no contest.
