Now THAT would be an awesome story... Provided that the ride didn't burn down and no one got hurt.

I went yesterday and got for the first time broken down on Pinocchio by the cigar guy and say it all and walked out of the attraction and went back on it again 3 minutes later.. if we didnt want to right away you just walk through the exit and say you were on it when it 101'd and get back on. so the whole ride was De'ja Vu .. we were clappin through the whole ride and at the unloading we clapped and thanked everyone for getting us through! We also were on gates for next train for BTM and it broke down and we all had to go through the line back to the enterance and it broke down 3 times that day.. 1 hour and then 1 hour till opening but then it poured! so we had to run to the Village Hause from the backroad by BTM . about to Lil patch of heaven Petting zoo. We were soaked! it rained like that for about an hour and we hit all the fantasyland rides. only bad part was waiting outside on Mr Toads. My shoes are dryin in the dryer and my sweatshirt is 60 pounds from all the water. So we rode GRR 3 times without getting off and the water was warmer in the river than outside. Then i went on Ca screamin front row and got pounded by air and dried off. Last people to ride snow white for rain.

I have been evaced off of Splash Mountain and Space Mountain ... both were really fun to see the different ride elements ... Splash Mountain kind of sucked because we were on the ramp just before the big drop next to a really annoying recording for 45 minutes .... and then a CM scared the crap out of everyone in the boat by coming up the stairs behind us .... (this was at 1130 at night when it broke down.) I dunno, I just thought it was cool. Space Mountain was fun to see the inside of the ride. Oh, and on Rocket Rods, it broke down right as we got off. Only got to ride that one once, I don't really miss it.

Here are a couple I took the only time I've been "evacd" off a ride. Obviously it was Indy:

I got stuck right in the snake room, but kinda' looking out towards the car coming towards us off the bridge.

As soon as they let us out of the car (I don't remember the seatbelts being stuck on, but it could have been) they started saying "NO PICTURES" so until that time, I was snapping away like a madman. I would have LOVED to have taken some pictures of the bubbling lava lake and the huge mara with the laser eye (which was still working) and also the wall of skulls, but there was just no way that was going to happen.

A jeep in front of us lost it's hydraulics, so the floor was super super slippery, and it's a lot more sloped then it seems when you're in the car.

I was also surprised at how they use the majority of the ride for storage of Janitorial supplies. Anyplace that you're going through that's black in that ride (and there is a lot of it) there are boxes, mops and brooms leaning against walls and just generally strewn about.

The experience didn't "lose the magic" for me, but it really opened my eyes (no pun intended).

When Indy first opened, we went to the park anticipating a great ride, hopped in line right away, didn't really mind waiting 90 minutes, got to the truck, sat down, threw on the seatbelts, and... *boom* ...101. We got out and waited awhile until everything recycled, then took the ride. I still chuckle about that.

The best was when on POTC, the final lift went down, and boats began to back up. We stopped in the burning village, more or less under all the burned timbers about to crash down on top of us. We sat for about five minutes until the sound was turned off, but the animation continued. After another 2-3 minutes two CM's came walking through the water in hip waders, pushed us back to a convenient dock, where we got off, and left through a back door that led onto the service road just inside the park fence. That led to an opening more or less where the guided tour garden is. Along the way, we were apologized to profusely by at least three whiteshirts from management. I actually felt like thanking them for the fun!

    Exclusivity

I was with a wheelchair-bound friend one day. It was to be my first and only ride on the motor cruise boats and Mission to Mars (which I quickly apologized to all my friend afterwards for [I thought it was Adventures through Innerspace, a ride I hadn't been on in 10 years]).

Anyways, we also went on HM. Back then it didn't creep, it did stop for wheelchair-bound guests. It also meant that we had to go through the "backstage return" for the doombuggies to continue after you normally get off. It wasn't much (it wasn't anything really), but it was nice to sort of see this one brief area that many people don't and I wouldn't have any other time I was there.

Ah, I'd heard that rumor before, but I wasn't sure if it was true.

I always wonderd when I was younger, were the door under the cemetary went, while we were waiting in line for the haunted mansion. On our last trip just before we were getting on our Dume "buggies" the anounced the ride was down and we had to leave the loading ramp area and walk up two flights or stairs right were the cast members stand before going up the stair case on the ride. Whats so funny about that exit, the floor tile and paint in the hall came right out of the fifties and sixties, and low and behold it came right out the door of the "cemetary" It took only fourty years but now I know were the door goes!!

Indiana Jones broke down on my FIRST ride... it broke down right before the Darts room ... they got us out of the jeeps and walked us through the rest of the ride ... and of course we saw the Rolling Ball and it completely ruined the entire effect. My FIRST ride! grrrr.

I also have been taken off Splash Mountain, right before the first drop. Scary to be getting off a log while still floating on running water. Of course the logs weren't moving cuz they were piled up but still could've fallen in a broke something if not careful. heh.

How were you evacuated in the Aladdin musical? Was there a fire, or something?
