Re: Screwing up Tomorrow Land Areas

Those were all rides that I loved and still miss. The peoplemover may be back, but this new sub ride will be a lot different, the skyway is gone forever, and to see CircleVision, I have to go to Epcot's China or Canada. CircleVision literally changed my life, inspiring my love of travel years before I had the means. The Lincoln Memorial scene especially. When I graduated college, I went to Virginia Beach for a week to hang out with my best friend who was stationed there in the Navy. It wasn't exactly right next door, but I figured I was too close to DC not to go. And I took a rode trip there once day while he was working and just sat on those steps and remembered how long I'd wanted to go there. It was great.

I would rather have the subs back, even if they are coming back due to corporate greed of having selling a movie. I think actually its the other way around. They are using the movie to bring more people into DL.

Look at the other alternative. They could have paved it over and turned it into a play area. This could have easily been done, just looking at WDW.

Yep, the PeopleMover would win hands down with me! The Skyway was OK, but I'm not a fan of heights. The original Subs were fine, but I'm looking forward to the new Subs coming more. And I would have chosen Circle Vision because I loved watching America the Beautiful, but PeopleMover would be my favorite out of the 4 given.

Luckily, some form of the PeopleMover will be returning and I can't wait for that to happen!!

I voted for peoplemover as well. that was one of my favorites when i was growing up. i liked the feeling of being above ground and going thru buildings and attractions it seemed very futuristic to me. Heck i was even a rocket rods fan! but i would love to see some sort of peoplemover back on the tracks. that is what made TL unique, well that and having the rocket jets back on the peoplemover roof would help as well.

I was born and raised in the Valley in SoCal, so I feel your pain. Weekly Disneyland trips were not uncommon when I was a kid. It's always hard seeing things change (sometimes for the worse), but every generation is going to leave a different mark on Disneyland, and maybe that's the way it should be. Times change and Disneyland will, too--just keep in mind sometimes things change for the better. But, I still miss the SkyBuckets.

I wish that, just once, I could travel back into the past and ride Adventures through Inner Space.
    Woof!
