    Mr. Frog's Wild Matterhorn Ride

Couldn't wait to ride the matterhorn after such a long, long absence!

The travel geek in me wants you to know that the upper left shield (with the red and white stars) is from the Valais canton in Switzerland, where the actual Matterhorn is located. (Shut up travelgeek!)

The waterfalls are all operational and everything seemed to be working right - let's ride!

It's hard to get pictures of colorful ice crystals without a flash while you're zooming past them...

Uh oh, it's even harder to photograph Harold:

    Yep, there goes his eyes:

Everything looked shiny and freshly scrubbed:

The track didn't look new to me, but I'm sure it was touched up during rehab. I saw the welding going on.

One of the nice things about this ride is that it gives you a "top down" view of other lands. Here's looking at the Team Disney Anaheim building, Small World, and the Fantasyland Theater/Princess Fantasy Faire buildings:

The top of Alice, Mr. Toad, and Peter Pan's show buildings. In this picture you can really see exactly where the fake "tree" that Tinkerbell's wire leads to and where her camoflauged landing pad is:

The Alice Track, the teacups, and Storybook Land:

On the tomorrowland side, you could see bags of both concrete adhesive, and colored glass stacked up, and it appears that considerable work is being done painting the attraction:

That's all for now - it seemed that the Matterhorn was as bumpy as ever, but I like it that way!

It may be hard to get a photo of the crystals, but you did a pretty good job!

Yeah I would have to agree...wow! I rode it yesterday and it was just so slow. And I don't think I could hear anything coming out of Harold. Just saw him and his eyes.

How in the world you were able to take pictures that good while riding the Matterhorn is beyond me, great job!

BTW, my parents went to Switzerland and Germany this summer and had their picture taken with the original Matterhorn in the background. They did that just cause they knew I'd get a kick out of it.

You didn't happen to see a missing "loop" while you were in there, did you?

That is what I was wondering? I am so busy holding on that a camera getting any shot at all would be a miracle!!! What I would give for some of those crystals for our home decoration...I just love them!
    Great Pictures!

No, but then again, I've always been slightly "out of the loop".
