Yay for Meet #2!

My reminder of where I parked





Looks like a good day is comin my way…

There were almost no people at the Security Gate


For some reason, they laid down blue tape for an extension of the ticket line. Were they actually expecting crowds?



I was off to DCA for a photo request for a friend at school (The Emperor’s New Groove in the Animation Building)

Before the Animation Building, I decided to take a couple pics and take advantage of the amazingly blue sky…

(Hehe. Get it?)

I couldn’t get a great pic because it was too dark and if I used a flash, it ruined the picture so the pics kinda turned out grainy








Well I was done with that so I decided to head over to ToT to see how the line was


Awesome show. Maybe some other time.

Pep Rally? HOW ABOUT NOT! The lead singer had the most annoying voice!



I better get over to DL so I’m not late for the 12 meet. On my way over, I noticed something that DL has issues with. Why is it that during the crowded summer days, only 3 or 4 entry gates are open but during the off-season, all are open?





OK I have 20 min.

My mission is to get on this ride before the end of the day



Havent been on the horses in a LONG time so why not?



The CM on the right was new to DL and it was her first day



They must of just woken up the horse because he kept yawning!


The other CM had told us that our horse, Major, was quite mischievous and often stopped walking for no reason (which he did)


Time for the meet! This is the backside of a few Mice Chatters

Now I would tell you all of the people I met, but I think I remember about 2 of 20. Sorry you guys! I have no short-term memory, I think.


And finally, Dusty and Fishy show up fashionably late. Fishy made his rounds and took 1000 pics as usual





Whitewater Snacks was chosen for lunch so off we go!


Dusty ran into somebody he knew

We waited for Fishy to go through Disneyana



Well we cut through DCA to get to Whitewater.

We have arrived!


And look what we found outside!

Back into DCA



I never noticed the detail in this wall before



We chose ToT


We filled an elevator with 18 people. We decided on a scared pose for our picture. We were so excited to see our picture but when we had arrived at the viewing area, out photo had dropped into another dimension! We were curious as to why our picture was deleted because we were all acting “appropriately” so that wasn’t why it was dropped. We asked the CM running the photo area. She had to call out her manager because apparently our question was too hard. Apparently Princess Buttercup holding onto Fishbulb’s scarf was a safety hazard and that was why it was dropped. They wouldn’t even let us see it!

We all felt defeated.


We timed it perfectly. We got off ToT just as the Aladdin show got out just so we could deal with crowds



We then did one for the kids and kids at heart and went on Monsters Inc. (The most creative ride is Disney history!)



I think they have used this whole queue once



Party of 17 please! We almost all fit into one car


“Smoochey pooh!” “O googly bear!”



“We gotta get you out of here”



“Why do I ever work on the weekends? Nothing ever happens!”



“Come on Sully. We gotta go!”



Roz called me a hunk and said she would be in my closet that night. She never showed up



Well Dusty and Fishy had to split. What was left of the group head back to DL to go on the Matterhorn.

Some of the changes are very obvious


I couldn’t put my finger on it but something looks different here. Didn’t this area used to be enclosed?



This staircase looks new as well



New speakers replaced the old ones. I like the sound of the Safety spiel on the old speakers though. Don’t ask me why



The new paint is quite obvious and looks great!





A new control panel was installed in place of the simple single button on the mountain
(Sorry for the fuzziness but we were moving)

Overall the, the changes were great. The track is way smoother. The change of track is comparable to going from a crappy, gravel infested highway to a new highway with that new rubberized asphalt. All the jerks and turns of the ride are there but with a smoother ride. So all of you Matterhorn fans, do not fear!

Now it was time for the kiddie rides. Why? The parade was going on of course!

Princess Buttercup was brave enough to pet the piranhas. She came to the conclusion that all water on the Disney property smells like DCA bathroom water (?)



The rest of the group went on Pirates while Hollywood1939, Claribella and her son and I went to find food. I chose popcorn and they chose the Stage Door café. I saw a familiar face while getting my popcorn…



It was time for me to go.



I wish I could have stayed longer. Apparently Dusty and Fishy came back with a friend a couple hours later. Well fun was had by all at another great Mice Chat meet. I am done with DL til the New Year. I hope everyone has a safe and happy Holiday.

Im bringing this thread back to the top so that the people in the Matterhorn thread dont have to look for it. So ya the changes to the Matterhorn are pretty apparent to me.
