The last time I was there at park opening they had a CM who kinda got the crowd pumped up for gate opening and then did like a 10 second countdown to opening. That's what I remember...Originally Posted by iluvdisney01

The hours for this weekend are:
Disneyland 8a - 12a
DCA 10a-10p
The Disneyland marching Band performs a musical welcome as the gates are opened.
Plus they select one or two families to help with the opening countdown... at least they did when we were there last week.
Don't they do rope drops on the weekend?

The last time I was there before the park opened, they played the song they use during the parade stop of POD ("Welcome to our family time, welcome to our happy to be time"). They only play the chorus of the song though and they played it when they dropped the rope.
